SUPERFICIALLY COLORFUL (LE) Happy Hour collection : Swatches and Review

Hi there, my darlings! Bright and early this morning, as another part of our featured event, I'd like to share with you my review of a few more products from Superficially Colorful--this time, I have swatches of 4 textured thermals that comprise her limited-edition Happy Hour collection, inspired by fun cocktails.

Before we get started, let's take a quick minute to talk about how surprisingly fabulous the formula and application of these polishes were! I'm always a little skeptical when it comes to textured polishes but these really surprised me--each went on smoothly and easily and dried super quickly. The swatches below show 2 thin coats of each, by itself, no basecoat, no topcoat. On top of being textures, these four are also thermals--that is, they change color when heated. Now keep in mind that the depth and shades of the colors that DO show up, whether at body temperature or in the hot state, will depend on your inidividual body temperature and/or the amount of heat you expose it to--I was swatching on a relatively balmy, warm day in NYC and I'm usually always warm to the touch. That being said, on to swatches!

Cupid's Cup "changes from a dark to light pink." This was my favorite of the four! So pretty!

Great Raspberry Flute "changes from medium blue to light green." Another fave, I really like this shade of green!

Tequila Sunrise "changes from red to orange." This one was the only one that gave me a little trouble with application--it's slightly thicker than the others but I'm really looking forward to wearing this when it's cooler. I think the coral will be to die for!

Steamy Affair is "a metallic dark brown that changes to silver with a little bit of holographic." I love this one in its hot state--so sparkly!
