June 2015 BEAUTY QUARTET BOX : Swatches, Review and NAIL ART!

Hi there, my darlings! Bright and early this morning, I'd like to share with you my first ever Beauty Quartet Box! BQBs are monthly, themed indie polish boxes featuring a polish plus an extra treat each from Philly Loves Lacquer, Smokey Mountain Lacquers and two guest makers--the best part is that you can grab one each month if and when you like--no year-long commitment required! June 2015's theme is Summer Lovin', inspired by the movie Grease and also features Dollish Polish and Gothic Gala Lacquers.Since this box is already available for pre-order right NOW, let's get right to swatches!

Beauty School Dropout by Dollish Polish is a pretty white crelly accented with pink, tiny blue and holo hexes. Lovely formula and application--the swatches show 3 thin coats by itself topped with 1 generous coat of Glisten & Glow's HK Girl topcoat. Dolly sure makes some pretty crellies!

Dolly include a really refreshing cuticle balm in Cucumber Melon as her extra treat and that came in handy after the nail art look below...because guess who had forgotten to protect her cuticles with latex? This girl right here! The pic below shows Beauty School Dropout stamped with Konad Black.

Summer Lovin' is a delicate pink creme with a touch of holographic sparkle. Smooth, creamy application and formula--the swatches below show 3 thin coats topped with 1 thin coat of Glisten & Glow's HK Girl topcoat. So pretty and feminine!

Esther's extra treat was a mini bottle of a glitterbomb called Had Me A Blast and I created a quick easy, side French look using french tips from Nail Vinyls! Quick and easy, I look how the glitter pops over the baby pink of the holo!

Wop Bam Boom by Gothic Gala Lacquers is a full-coverage, black and holographic microglitter. Fabulous, easy formula and application--the swatches below show just 2 easy coats topped with 1 generous coat of Glisten & Glow's HK Girl topcoat. This is my first Gothic Gala polish and I'm so impressed with both the formula and the look! Oh-so-sparkly!

Gothic Gala Lacquer's extra treat was a lovely polish remover scented in the popular cocktail flavor, Sex in the Beach! After creating this gorgeous nail art look below, which was my fave creation of the bunch, that remover cleanly wiped off all the glitter with minimal scrubbing! I used Different Dimension Far Out, Straight Nail Vinyls and bow/crown decals from YouPolish for the glitzy look below.

Better Shape Up by Smokey Mountain Lacquers is a shimmery, metallic red. No complaints about formula or application--the swatches below are just 2 thin coats topped with 1 thin coat of Glisten & Glow's HK Girl topcoat. This one could have even been a one-coater depending on how you apply it! My personal fave, I can't resist a good, sexy red!

Kim's extra was a sample bottle of her HTC, holo topcoat and I used it, along with Heart stencils from TwinkledT to create the beautiful nail art look below. Just two thin coats of Kim's HTC was all it took to bring out a gorgeous rainbow of holo!

  1. Summer Lovin' is a beautiful shade of pink, but I am a die-hard Gothic Gala fan as well. All of the polishes are just beautiful and work so well together in your swatches. Wish I could afford to buy this box! I'm sure everyone who orders will be so glad they did!
