Hi there, my darlings! Long time, huh? Those of you who are regular visitors of my lil corner of the Internet may have noticed the sudden, deafening silence from normally very chatty me. Don't worry, I have dropped off the face of the planet...but my beloved phone pretty much did! For a blogger like yours truly who did literally EVERYTHING on that phone, from shooting photos to social media, it was an unexpectedly devastating blow. Although I rushed it to a service center, the phone was really truly DOA. All those carefully styled photos...GONE! *Sigh* And I still don't know what was wrong with it. Anyways, so these past few weeks, I've been frantically re-taking photos while bemoaning Fate. (I know, I'm a little dramatic!) But, the good news is, I think I'm finally ready to get going again! So, let's start off with a fun little post I've been mulling over!

As a beauty blogger, I'm privy to a LOT of trends. But these trends are often pretty transient--here today, gone tomorrow. And although, I'm pretty experimental in that I'll try anything beauty-related once, I often balk at the more, let's say, permanent changes. Some things, I just won't do. For example, cut off my hair? All the NOPE. I think it's safe to say some of us are more adventurous than others when it comes to experimenting with our looks but we all crave a little change every now and then. Just as long as it's not TOO permanent. So, today, we're talking about 5 Easy Makeover Hacks that will help you change your look--dramatically even--without all that scary commitment!

Rock a set of acrylic tips!
A great manicure can not only make you look good but also feel good! There's just something about a fresh mani that cheers a girl up. But who has the time for the upkeep of long nails? Or, hey, even neat, short nails take a lot of care. Trust me, I started off as a nail blogger! Between all the moisturizing, the filing, the buffing and the painting, it was quite a chore. But, it doesn't have to be! Whether you like to do your nails at home or treat yourself to a mani, nails of the length and shape of your dreams are surprisingly easy to acquire. Just go get a set of gorgeous, acrylic stiletto nails done at the nail salon or even better, opt for a quick, press-on set at home.

Try a wig on for size!
I can't tell you how I covet a Balayage with bright purple and blue huess. But, I also know myself pretty well. I'd be enamored with that look all of maybe 2 weeks and then want my browns curls back. If you're like me and want to try the latest hair trend without actually changing your natural hair, why not try a wig? Find several beautiful yet affordable styles at Black Hairspray

Lashes for days...in a flash!
Another thing I've been dying to try are eyelash extensions. Long, thick, perfect eyelashes? Yes please! But, eyelash extensions can get pricey! If you're on a budget or just don't know if you're ready for dramatic lashes all the time, pick up a pair of false lashes at your favorite beauty supply store or drugstore.

Change up...your eye color!
Eye color, in my opinion, is one of the most defining characteristics of your face. While there really is no permanent way to change your eye color, you can experiment with different eye colors, thanks to the plethora of colored contact lenses on the market today. Whether you need a prescription or just want to try something new on your next night out, colored contact lenses can be a fun, easy way to change your look!

Contour like a pro!
Now, contouring can seem like such a daunting challenger when you first get into it. Believe me, I know. I was just as overwhelmed. But once you get the hang of it with a little practice, the possibilities are endless. The basic premise to keep in mind is that you want to accentuate certain features (such as your cheekbones) by adding highlighter and hide certain flaws (such a pesky bit of pudge under the chin) with a darker contouring color. You essentially just playing with the concepts of reflection of light and the casting of shadows. So, with that succinct little tutorial under your belt, head on over to YouTube, binge watch a couple of videos and have fun! Just remember, you can wash it all away at the end of it!

So there you have it. my darlings! Do you have a quick, temporary makeover trick when you want to change up your look? Tell me in the comments section below!
