Hi everyone!! I have a relatively new indie brand to share with you today--Mod Lacquer!! A friend of mine in the polish world came across her Etsy store and fell in love with her creations. So needless to say, my curiosity was piqued! When I took a look myself, I couldn't help but reach out to the maker, Jennifer and she was gracious enough to allow me to review a few of her beauties! Don't let the fact that her store is only a few months old deter you from trying her polishes--they truly are gems!

Jennifer sent me three gorgeous polishes to review for you--Galactic Aura, Nonpareils and Eternal Blaze. And each of them were free of application issues and oh-so-pretty!! So, without further ado, I present to you three Mod Lacquer creations!

First, we have Galactic Aura--this is a rich, dark teal with gorgeous holographic microglitter that also flashes blue and purple when the light hits it just right! I used 2 generous coats for the swatches below and I had absolutely NO issues with application--the polish went on smooth and easy! This one really does remind one of the starry night sky!

With flash!

Next up, Nonpareils! This is a super fun white jelly with a variety of bright glitters in a range of sizes, from small to medium! I layered two coats on top of two coats of Sinful Colors Wisp and finished the look with one thin coat of G&G's HK Girl. This was my favorite of the three--it reminded me for some reason of a day at the circus! Lol! So much fun!

Finally, we have Eternal Blaze! A lovely, deep burgundy red polish with a hint of holographic microglitter which shifts from an almost-black to a rich red, depending on the angle the light hits your nails! If you love luscious vampy polishes, this one's for you! For the swatches below, I used 2 generous coats. Application once again was a breeze!

So there you have it! If you love any of these polishes, you can find them, amongst other beauties, at Mod Lacquer's Etsy shop HERE, for $9.50 for a full-size bottle! I'm particularly in love with some of her new jelly creations and of course, her holos! Go check her out! =)

Hi my darlings!! Phew! It's been a busy couple of weeks for me! What with summer right around the corner, ColorSutraa and friends are coming out of hibernation, so lots of visits and get-togethers happening in my world! Needless to say, this meant I was a wee bit MIA! But not to fear, I'm back with some gorgeous new polishes for your viewing pleasure!

I present to you tonight 3 beautiful polishes from Darling Diva's upcoming Madonna collection--Love Don't Live Here Anymore, Material Girl and Holiday. Isn't this such an amazingly fun theme for a polish collection? Madonna is the Queen of glitz and glamour and Carrie, the maker behind Darling Diva has certainly managed to capture that in these beauties!

So let's take a look at what Carrie has come up with, shall we? =)

First up is Love Don't Live Here Anymore, which a stunning antique gold microglitter polish (with a hint of a green undertone) with small, hot pink glitters. This is such a unique polish--I really don't think I've seen anything like it in the year or so that I've been part of the nail polish community! A stunner for sure! Application was very easy and I used 3 coats over one coat of OPI's ridge-filling basecoat. One thin coat of G&G's HK girl finished the look and brought out the lovely sparkle throughout the polish! I do believe I'm going to revisit this soon and attempt an Indian bridal themed glitter gradient! =)

Next is Material Girl--a bright pink jelly with large and medium fuschia circles, large and medium holographic silver glitter and large and medium pink hexes! I love love love this polish! It's such a gorgeous bright shade of pink, utterly reminiscent of the gown Madonna wore in the Material Girl video, and the holographic glitters  just scream bling to me, which was the whole theme of the video! On the nail, it has such a squishy, lush look and application for me was a breeze! Even the large glitters came out of the bottle with minimum fuss! I used 3 generous coats over Opi's ridge-filling basecoat for the swatches below and smoothed out the glitters with 2 thin coats of G&G's HK girl.

Finally, we have Holiday--a clear glitter topcoat with circle glitter galore! This polish is just a party in a bottle! Lol! It contains small, medium and larger circle glitters in pink, blue, green and gold. I layered 2 coats of Holiday over two coats of Zoya Caitlyn for the swatches below. Now this polish did need a little careful application because the glitters did tend to clump together as you may be able to see on my index finger. Thin coats are ideal and strategic dabbing of some of the larger glitters may prove helpful. However, this being said, I didn't have any issue actually getting the glitters out of the bottle--even the large circles came out easily. I finished the look by applying 2 coats of Gelous to smooth and even out the glitters on the nail. The result--sheer fun! =)

Love the look of these polishes? Darling Diva is launching these 3, along with a couple more, as part of her Madonna-inspired collection on Sunday, June 9th! Hurry and snatch yours up HERE!

Looking for a bottle of Glisten & Glow's HK Girl? You can find it RIGHT HERE!!

So, as always, I'd love to hear your comments! Do you love this collection? Will you be picking a couple up to add to your collection? Let me know in the comments below!

Til next time,
