Hi there, my darlings! So, I have A LOT of strong feelings about today's post featuring Cupcake Polish. Today's post is not just about swatches or pretty polishes so much as it's about a journey. 5 years ago, Sara of Cupcake Polish started a new brand and shortly thereafter, she sent out a call for bloggers. Very new to the blogging world myself with just a few months under my belt, I remember answering her call. I still remember her first PR package, with 3 polishes that remain my favorites to this very day. I also remember being so impressed with the quality and sheer blinding holographic beauty of those first polishes--how could a new maker get it so right, so quickly? Over the years, Sara has proved that she's not a fluke or an amateur. She has consistently released beauty after beauty, each one just as gorgeous as the one before. And I've been fortunate to have been along for the ride! So today's post, for me at least, is a celebration of just how proud I am of her and just how full my heart is with our long-standing association. Without further ado, I present you with Cupcake Polish's 5 Year Anniversary Trio...and Sara has truly outdone herself!

Celebrate is described as a "blush pink nail polish with an elegant foiled finish". 2 easy coats, topped with 1 thin coat of Glisten and Glow's Top Coat. I'm usually not a big fan of foils but this one was not only really easy to work with but the results were fabulous, as you can see below!

Diamond is described as a "multi-faceted iridescent topper packed with multicolored iridescent flakies and platinum silver micro flakies". Yes, this beauty is meant to be a topper and you can certainly add a coat on to your favorite creme but I always like to layer toppers to full opacity, just to see how they look. This baby did not disappoint! 4 thin coats, topped with 1 generous coat of Glisten and Glow's Top Coat. The flakies...oh, these flakies! TO DIE FOR!

Now, I also wanted to see how this polish would look with a matte top coat so I threw on 1 coat of Glisten and Glow's Matte Top Coat...and the results? Pretty magical! I totally don't know which finish I like better!

5 Years is described as a "magenta linear holographic nail polish with holographic microglitters and heavy blue shimmer". 2 easy coats, topped with 1 thin coat of Glisten and Glow's Top Coat. Although I had quite the time choosing, this had to be my favorite of the trio. And, let me just tell you, both my roommates were in awe! As pretty as these pics may be, this beauty is even more gorgeous in person with that fantastic blue shift! Head over heels in love!

With flash!

Hi there, my darlings! The official first day of Summer just came and went but here in Toronto, it's still quite cool and very pleasant. I, for one, never look forward to the heat so I'm very pleased with this weather! It doesn't stop me from busting out the bright, Summer colors! Perfect time to share my swatches of Zoya Nail Polish and Treatment's Sunshine collection!

The Sunshine collection consists of 12 bright, fun shades in varying finishes.  Across the board, I found the formula of the lighter shades to be a tad on the streakier side but they evened out with 3 thin coats. The brighter, bolder shades were much easier to work with and two coats easily did the trick. Unless specifically mentioned, all the swatches below show just 3 thin coats of each lighter shade of polish and 2 coats of each brighter shade by itself on the index and ring fingers and with the addition of 1 thin coat of topcoat on the middle and pinkie fingers, for the sake of comparison. Now, on to swatches!

Jack is described as "a full coverage nude cream". The only nude in the collection, this shade is kinda a palette cleanser!

Minnie is described as "a full coverage pink toned coral cream". Pretty, feminine pink!

Delia is described as "a full coverage muted amethyst cream". Love this shade of purple!

Clementine is described as "a full coverage salmon toned coral with a pink and orange micro-shimmer". I really like the subtle shimmer in this pretty shade!

Karen is described as "a full coverage poppy red cream". Juicy and full coverage in as little as one coat, this red is my absolute fave of the collection!

Ellie is described as "a full coverage raspberry sorbet cream". Big fan of berry shades so you already know I love this one!

Marigold is described as "a bright and dazzling micro-shimmer red in a full coverage formula". Oh the shimmer in this one is so intense! Totally in love!

Sandy is described as "a full coverage blue toned flamingo pink cream". A really great summer pink for lighter skin tones!

Virginia is described as "a full coverage juicy coral red cream". As much as I adore this shade, this one was the only bright shade that was a bit of a challenge to apply in terms of streakiness. Definitely a three-coater for me.

Missy is described as "the perfect summer pink in a full coverage cream formula". A little too light of a shade to be the perfect pink for me personally but if you like a flirty pink, this one's made for you!

Saldana is described as "a buildable, cotton-candy blue iridescent-holo topper with hints of pink and blue colored glitter with mega hex particles". 4 coats layered on for an icy blue finish that totally gives me Frozen vibes, even in the Summer!

Nahla is described as "a buildable, golden iridescent-holo topper with hints of multi-colored glitter with mega hex particles". 4 coats layered on, although I think I would like this one best as a topper!

So there you have it, my darlings! The Zoya Sunshine collection is available now on Zoya's website HERE for the price of $10 for a full-size, 0.5 oz bottle.
