MAKEUP BLENDER Latex Free Foundation Sponge : Can it replace the Beauty Blender?

Hi there, my darlings! This morning, I have a budget-friendly post for you all! Now, I own and absolutely ADORE my Beauty Blender--there's nothing that works better to give you the most even coverage with foundation, BB cream, moisturizers...any kind of facial product, really! Once you own and use a Beauty Blender, it's pretty impossible to go back! But...it's pretty pricey. $20 for a makeup sponge. Ouch! So, today, let's talk about a similar product that can be found on Amazon and costs just a fraction of the price. Does it work just as well or is the Beauty Blender truly irreplaceable? Read on to find out!

But first, a quick look at the product description :

  • Flawless Application of Liquid Foundation Makeup
  • No Streaks, Even Distribution
  • Use Pointed Side Around Nose and Eye Area
  • Use Wide Side Around Chin, Face, and Forehead
  • Easy to Clean

IMPRESSIONS : There are definitely pros and cons to this generic version. Let's talk a little about the cons first. I was sent the gourd-shaped sponge, rather than the more common teardrop-shaped sponge, to review and I definitely prefer the teardrop shape. While the wider, flatter side of the gourd shape allows for better application on wider parts of the face, such as the cheeks and forehead. it's that much more difficult to work around the nose and around the eyes--it does have a pointed tip but it's harder to maneuver. That being said, it does work pretty well for creme blushes--again, just based on the shape. The other difference I noticed is that this product is firmer, less squishy and not as soft as the Beauty Blender--basically, it doesn't feel as good.

As for the pros, the major and undeniable advantage is the price--this product costs just $4.95 while the Beauty Blender is a much more expensive $19.95. The seller on Amazon does have a teardrop-shaped one, priced at just $1.98 but I haven't tried that one out to be able to give an opinion. so, in conclusion, I feel like these are great to have around for when you're traveling and don't want to risk losing your Beauty Blender or when you're testing out products that you're not sure you'll love. The prices are really fabulous!

So there you have it, my darlings! If you would like to pick up either of the makeup blender mentioned above, you can find them on AMAZON HERE  and HERE for the price of $4.95 and $1.98 respectively, shipping included!

Do you own the Beauty Blender? Would you use the less-expensive makeup blender? Tell me how you feel in the comments section below!

Until next time,
