GLITTERDAZE Holiday 2015 collection : Swatches and Review

Hi there, my darlings! Lots of new-to-me indie brands will be making their debut on the blog this month and this afternoon, I'll be sharing the very first! Let's take a peek at GlitterDaze's Holiday 2015 collection--these are actually my first polishes from the brand and I'm thrilled to share that it was a really great first impression!

Before we get to swatches, let's talk quickly about the formula and application of these polishes. This collection consists of 6 polishes--3 metallic linear holographic shades, and 3 jelly polishes filled with color shifting flakies, sterling silver flakies, and holo shimmer/ Across the board, whether jelly or holo, application was a breeze. The holos applied like butter and were fully opaque in 3 thin coats--you do need 3 coats for full coverage but since dry time was really rapid and the holo effect was incredibly strong, that didn't negatively affect my impression at all. The swatches of the holos below, unless specifically mentioned, show just 3 thin coats by itself. The jellies have a lot going on with them, packed as they are with flakies and shimmer but they applied just as beautifully as the holos. With these, you can definitely get away with 2 coats if you tend to paint thicker coats but I used 3 for added depth. The swatches of the jellies below show 3 easy coats topped with 1 generous coat of Glisten & Glow's HK Girl topcoat to finish the look! With that out of the way, on to swatches!

All That Glitters is a gorgeous gold metallic with a strong linear holographic finish. Such a perfect gold!

Cold Nights is "a cobalt blue jelly polish packed with holographic micro shimmer, holographic flakies, real silver flakies, iridescent flakies, and color shifting flakies." Such a gorgeous shade of blue!

A Pretty Penny is a rich copper metallic with a strong linear holographic finish. A little more pigmented than the other 2 holos, this one needed just 2 coats for full opacity. And the result is a perfect copper!

Fiery Embers is "a deep and glowing darkened maroon jelly shade packed full of holographic micro shimmer, holographic and silver flakies, as well as iridescent and color shifting flakies." One of my favorites, this polish does just seem to glow and shine!

Rosé on Ice is a stunning rose gold metallic with a strong linear holographic finish. My favorite of the 2 holos, this is just beautiful!

Twinkling Lights is "a deep charcoal jelly full of multicolor shifting flakies, silver and holographic flakies, and holographic micro shimmer." Black but with enough of a twist to make it interesting!
