Hi there, my darlings! One day to Thanksgiving and the holidays are just a hop-skip-jump away! So, with that in mind, I'd like to share with you the last installment of Milani Cosmetics's latest Color Statement collection swatches! Very appropriately, I must say, I kept for last the "festive" shades or those 6 shades I myself would rock during the holiday season.


Before we get to swatches, let's talk quickly about formula and application. These polishes  have a more crelly finish than a true creme finish--all the swatches below show 2 generous coats, unless specifically mentioned otherwise. I had no issues with application--they all went on fabulously, as with most of the polishes in this collection!


Sugar Plum is a bright, shimmery fuchsia polish. Love, love this shade! In my opinion, this is perfect for a night out on the town!

Ruby Stone is a  bright, shimmery red polish. I love reds pretty much all year round but never so much as during the holidays!

Gilded Rocks is a clear polish filled with pink and gold glitter. I'm not sure how I feel about this look--it's really quite festive but the pink glitter totally gets obscured on the red. Maybe a black base would make this polish pop more!

Iconic Red is a rich cherry red creme. This collection has a lot of reds and this is one of my two favorites (along with Crimson Jewel)!

Gold Plated is a metallic gold polish. Not all golds work on my complexion but this is a winner all the way!

Enchanting is a deep, deep, dark oxblood crelly--a wine so dark it's almost black. A dark nail like this looks really chic paired with just about anything!

Hi there, my darlings! With the holidays just around the corner, I'm rushing to share all the beautiful collections that I've been working on! Today, I'll have my final two parts of the epic Milani Cosmetics's latest Color Statement line. I've been grouping them into sixes as I've been going along but this first six today is more of a mixed bag of sorts--half I love, the other half I'm not so sure about. But I'll let you be the judge of them!


Just as a reminder, let me quickly mention formula and application.  As with most of the polishes in this collection, the application of these six, unless specifically mentioned, was lovely. Most were perfectly opaque at 2 coats and no topcoat was needed. Okay then, ready for swatches?


Tattle Teal is a bright teal creme. One of my favorites in this entire, mammoth collection, this beauty is perfectly pigmented and opaque in just one coat! Yup! Just ONE coat!

Pearl-Plexed Sheer is a clear polish with iridescent shimmer, perfect as a topper over your favorite creme. I added it to Tattle Teal above and this turned out to be my favorite mani of the entire collection!

Modern Rouge is described as "fuschia red" but wore slightly more orange-toned on me. Gorgeous, shiny crelly finish--this just reminds me of perfect little hard candies!

Imperial Purple is a vivid lilac creme. Slightly more pink-toned in real-life, this is absolutely gorgeous!

Bronze is a frosty, shimmery rose-toned bronze polish. I'm not a huge fans of frosts but this is just perfect for Fall!

Doll Face is a light pink creme. If you love bright, Barbie pinks, this one is a great buy!

USE AND IMPRESSIONS : I followed the directions closely the second time I used this product because my first attempt served to show me that there was indeed a right and a wrong way to apply it! After thoroughly cleansing my face, I applied a small, pea-sized amount all over my face and neck--a little goes a very long way with this product--this is where the pump nozzle comes in handy. I lightly massaged the cream into my skin with my fingertips--I did this once daily right before bed, for about a week or so. 

First of all, if you expect a pleasing fragrance--stop. This is an almost medicated cream and smells quite as such. Not horrible but definitely not pleasant. That being said, I found it quite effective! My skin not only felt softer and smoother, but some of my ancient acne scars seemed a little lighter. I do believe that maybe a longer use might show even better results, so I'm going to keep using it on my scars and report back!

Hi there, my darlings!! Before I left for India, another one of Carolyn of Liquid Sky Lacquer's signature review packages landed on my doorstep--now if you've seen my posts about previous review packages, they are usually HUMONGOUS! And this one was no different! With mere hours left before I boarded a flight to India, there was sadly no way to get them swatched...though I wanted to! I really, really wanted to! So I packed them up and took them with me to India. Where my cousins and aunts ooh-ed and aah-ed over them endlessly. Cue wedding madness and no swatches were done. So! I packed them back up and brought them back to NYC. And here we are today! I finally, finally get to show you all some of these beauties--today, I have for you my Fall picks from my latest Liquid Sky review package.


Before we jump right into swatches, let's take a quick minute to discuss the formula and application of these first 6 holos. Across the board, I had no complaints at all with the formula or application--each one of these polishes went on like butter, as with almost all of Carolyn's polishes I've tried til date!  The swatches below show 2  coats of each polish by itself. Chocolate Obsession is a rich, dark chocolate brown with a holographic finish. Isn't this just yummy?! Reminds me of hot chocolate on a chilly day!

Forget Me Not is a bright royal purple with a holographic finish. Oh so so pretty!

Glistening Coral is a vibrant coral pink with a strong holographic finish. Now I know most of you may consider corals to be more of a Summer color but I love them for the Fall too!

Storm Break is a charcoal gray polish with a strong holographic finish. A stormy gray, just meant for Fall!

Wyld Pixie is a gorgeous magenta-berry polish with a strong holographic finish. It should come as no surprise when I tell you that this was, hands-down, my favorite! So much so that I couldn't take it off for a couple of days!
