HEATHER'S HUES : Swatches and Review

Hi there, my darlings! This afternoon, I would to show you a whole bunch of beauties from this week's Friend-An-Indie-Friday sponsor, Heather's Hues--Heather sent me lots so I have quite a variety for you all! That should really help if you're one of our winners and have to pick your prize!

I'd like to take a quick minute to mention the beautiful packaging my sample polishes came in--Heather took the extra time to not only bubble-wrap them individually but also wrap them in tissue and decorate it just like a gift! That and her handwritten notes to me totally won me over--it's really a special thing when a maker takes the time to present her products with so much care and those little unique touches endear them to their customers!

One last thing before we get to swatches--let's talk formula and application! For the most part, these jellies and crellies had a really consistent formula--not too thick, not too runny and applied evenly. All swatches below, unless mentioned otherwise, show three thin coats, topped with 1 generous coat of ellagee's Fast Dry Top Coat. And now...on to swatches!

COLORS OF THE WIND : Inspired by Pocahontas, this beautiful nude crelly is sprinkled with gold micro holo, caramel and bronze glitters, brown hexes, and teal squares.

I love the pop of color the little blue hexes bring to this otherwise neutral polish!

GLASS SLIPPERS is a pale blue jelly is filled with iridescent rainbow glitters and a mix of white glitters. It is inspired by "Cinderella" and has a sparkly blue shimmer.

One of my absolute favorites, the blue shimmer is instense and totally to die for! And it's so appropriately named--if Cinderella's slippers came to life, this is how I envision them to look!

With flash!

HIP HOPPIN' AND BOPPIN' : Inspired by My Melody, "Hip Hoppin' & Boppin'" is a hot pink jelly packed with scattered holo, as well as small dot glitters in matte baby pink and metallic hot pink!

Another personal fave, this squishy jelly was on the sheer side and the swatches below show 4 thin coats. But for that super bright pink, I'd say the extra coat was totally worth it!

"LUNA'S LULLABY" is a bright, blue-violet jelly polish full of indigo micro flakes. The glitters in this polish are all different sized hexes and circles, and are various shades of blues, purples, silvers, and blacks. This polish is meant to resemble the night sky, right after a springtime sunset, and is named after Luna, the moon goddess.

This is a gorgeous jelly--if you love blues as much as me, you will love this one! And best part--I didn't have to sit around fishing for any of the glitters!

"Sailor's Delight" is a rose cream polish, with a sparkly pink sheen, as well as rose and gold micro glitters.

This polish wears more on the peach than pink side for me and is a little too pale for my liking but the gold shimmer that runs through it is truly beautiful.

"Soft Kitty" : Inspired by Hello Kitty herself, this glitter bomb has a slight white shimmer to it and the glitters represent different elements of Hello Kitty! (white triangles=her ears, black dots/bars=eyes/whiskers, yellow dots=nose)

The swatches below show just 2 thin coats over Sailor's DelightAre you a Hello Kitty fan? If you are, this whimsical polish is made for you!

***OPTIONAL GLITTERS*** Of course you have to have her red bows!!!  The red bow glitters can be included on the side in a bag for super-easy glitter placement, but if you'd like,or already mixed into the polish for you!

I, myself, prefer this polish with the red bows--the bright pop of color makes me so happy!

MAGIC CARPET RIDE  is inspired by Princess Jasmine from "Aladdin" and comes in a 15 mL bottle. The base is a mix of gold and teal micro flakes. Its filled with gold and teal glitters in every shape and size!

Again, this polish was on the sheer side and the swatches below show 4 thin coats. This polish would look great layered but since I don't mind a little bit of visible nail line, I wanted to see how it looked on its own. And the results? SO pretty! Made me feel like a princess!

MY SPIRIT FLIES : This polish was inspired by Princess Merida from "Brave"...a beautiful deep teal jelly, its packed with teal, brown, and orange hex glitters of every size.

When I first saw this polish in the bottle, I totally thought it was a plain ole black so imagine my surprise and delight when it turned out to be this gorgeous peacock blue/teal accented with the copper glitter! Love love love!
