Starlight Polish : A review (PIC HEAVY!)

Hey there! Still with me while I catch up on my Sunday night blog posts? =D You are? YAY! I promise it'll be worth sticking around! Because, I have another new brand to introduce and review--Starlight and Sparkles!

From what I perused of her Etsy shop, Issa of Starlight and Sparkles has a penchant for gorgeous duochromes and duochrome topcoats, some that were truly unique! She sent me 3 duochrome topcoats and a holographic topcoat to review for my readers and boy! I got a wee bit carried away with pictures, as you'll soon see!

All swatches below are 1 smooth coat of the duochrome topcoat in question over two coats of Revlon Royal--application on each and every one of the three reviewed was flawlessly smooth and easy. I took several pics in my lightbox, at different angles, to try to capture the color shifts with each of these.

First up, I have Phoenix--a duochrome that shifts from red to gold to green!

Next, I have Dragon--a duochrome that shifts from bronze/gold to green!

Finally, I have Unicorn--a duochrome that shifts from a cool green to blue!

I also decided to do a quick comparison to show you the differences between the 3 duochromes--from index to ring, 1 coat each of Phoenix, Dragon and Unicorn over 2 coats of Revlon Royal, and on the pinkie, just out of curiosity, I layered 1 coat of all three over 2 coats of Revlon Royal! I'm totally enamored with how the layering of the duochromes look on the pinkie! What do you think?

And as a bonus, Issa included Starlight--a holographic topcoat! I used 2 thin coats over 3 coats of Priti NYC Jersey Beauty Dahlia! The result was SUCH a unique color of holographic polish and the topcoat caused very little, if any, graying of the base color. Application, again, was super smooth.

With flash!

Phew! I hope you all enjoyed all the swatches and pics as much as I enjoyed taking them! It's quite easy to get lost in the world of duochromes! =) If you'd like to purchase one of these beauties yourself, you can find them HERE for the price of $10 for a full-size, 0.5 oz bottle!

As always, your feedback in the comments section below is welcome and appreciated.

Until next time,
