PRITI NYC Baby Blue Eyes and Jersey Beauty Dahlia

Hello to all my lovely readers, new and old! If you're from the US, I sure hope you're staying cool in this heat wave that blazing itself across the nation! It's been air-conditioners and ice cream all the way for me! But you know what cheers me up when the heat makes me just want to wilt away? Fun, bright summer nail polish colors! A great manicure or pedicure never fails to brighten my day! So, hoping that I can brighten your day a little, I bring you a review of two fun, summery colors sent to me kindly by the lovely ladies over at Priti NYC!

The first polish is called Baby Blues Eyes--a lovely baby blue creme. Baby Blue Eyes is one of four polishes introduced by Priti NYC as part of their Bahamas Collection for the Summer of 2013. The application on this was phenomenal--buttery smooth and it just glided on really easily, no streaking, no fuss. Another factor I wanted to mention is dry time--I usually have quite the issue with polish drying in hot, muggy weather but Baby Blue Eyes dried within just a couple of mins, so THAT was also a major plus for me. I used 3 easy coats for the swatches below, just out of habit, but you could most definitely get away with 2 coats--it was fully opaque in 2! I used 1 thin coat of G&G HK Girl to finish the look. Now, tell me, isn't it lovely?

Next up, I have Jersey Beauty Dahlia--a super bright coral pink creme! I think this color is absolutely perfect for the summer and would look amazing as a pedicure too--this polish was my personal favorite of the two! I absolutely adore bright colors in the summer and it doesn't get much brighter than this beauty! Once again, I had no complaints with the application but the formula of Jersey Beauty Dahlia is sheerer than Baby Blue Eyes so I was happy with the 3 coats I used for the swatches below. One thing I do want to mention is that in my experience, most super bright colors dry matte, possibly due to the neon pigment used, but this was NOT the case with Jersey Beauty Dahlia and I was very impressed with that--though I do love a good matte, when a polish is described as a creme, that's what I expect. And this gorgeous shade definitely did NOT disappoint! Gorgeous, right?
