JIOR COUTURE + GREEN GODDESS CREATIONS Halloween collab (partial) collection : Swatches and Review

Hi there, my darlings! Something spooky, something creepy...nah, something fun comes this way! In honor of my very first Halloween post of the year, I scheduled this pretty darn late but I mean, come on! How can we truly appreciate Halloween polishes until it's at least dark outside, right?! And now that it IS dark outside (and kinda chilly), let's take a look at 3 polishes from Jior Couture's Halloween collection in collaboration with Green Goddess Creations.

Pontianak is a vampy, dark red jelly polish accented with small red, holographic glitters. This polish is a very sheer jelly but it layers very nicely to give that squishy, semi-translucent look that I love jellies for. The swatches below 4 thin coats, topped with 1 thin coat of Glisten & Glow's HK Girl topcoat--my accent nail is just 2 thin coats layered over 1 coat of Zoya Hannah, topped with 1 thin coat of Glisten & Glow's HK Girl topcoat. I love how this beauty just seems to glow from within!

Aswang is a thermal polish that transitions from a very light pinkish neutral to a rich, orange-toned red, accented with a ton of purple flakies. Lovely formula and application--there was no clumping or difficulty with the flakies during application and the transition from hot state to cold state occurs really easily. You can see from the pics below that my nail beds are one state while my tips are in another at normal room temperature, which hardly EVER happens with me. I found this polish to be the creepiest of the three and I mean that in a good way--this one reminds me of evil witches and zombies and such. Basically, perfect for Halloween!

Matted with Butter London Matte Finish topcoat :

Baby Yaga is a bright, slime-green, glow-in-the-dark jelly polish with a touch of holographic shimmer. Again, this is quite sheer and dries completely matte on the first coat but self-levels beautifully to a nice, shiny finish with subsequent coats. The swatches below 4 thin coats, topped with 1 thin coat of Glisten & Glow's HK Girl topcoat. I had the most fun with this one! Take a look at all the pics I got of this!

Dark :

Lelia of Green Goddess Creations has created 5 Halloween-inspired water decals just for this particular collection and I used 4 of them over Baby Yaga to create the nail art look below. After all, Halloween is when all the creepy-crawlies come out to play!
