KERANIQUE Scalp Stimulating Shampoo and Voluminizing Keratin Conditioner : Review

Hi there, my darlings! When I first moved to the US, one of my first and closest girlfriends gave me a bit of advice--change up your shampoo so your hair doesn't get bored! That little bit of advice, spoken in confidence and amusement among girlfriends stuck with me....and has served me well over the years. Til this day, I have 3 to 4 sets of shampoo/conditioners in my bathroom that I'm using at any given time and I find my hair does better for it--it never gets bored! Today, I'd like to share a duo I've been testing this month--Keranique's Advanced Hair Repair Shampoo and Conditioner.

IMPRESSIONS : Although I HATE to admit it, as I get...ahem...older, my hair is....thinning. There, I said it. Now, as many of you know, I have waist-length, thick, wavy hair which is prone to frizz at the bottom and greasiness at the crown--basically, beautiful when tamed and a nightmare otherwise. While my hair is by no means thin, I'm always looking for ways to return it to its previous, adolescent thickness and tame that frizz while I'm at it. Do these products do it for me?

In many ways, yes! The duo in combination left my hair feeling soft and full, with much more volume, without crazy amounts of frizz. Yes, there was still some frizz because I air-dried my hair most nights but much less than usual.

My only complaint? The fragrance. While the top notes of something minty was really pleasant, the bottom note was...clinical. Like a mixture of peppermint...and cough syrup. Not fun! I would definitely get past the scent and keep using them though, because the keratin formula was really good for my hair whenever I used it!
