INDIE CHARITY COLLABORATION BOX for Breast Cancer Research Foundation

Hi there, my darlings! So, recently Joanne of Daphine Polish asked me to review a collaborative indie box that she was taking part in and which was specially curated for charity. Now, I love indie products AND I love Joanne so there was no question of refusing! Shortly thereafter, a box landed on my doorstep.

I had never heard of this particular box before so I was intrigued when I opened up this box. Before I show you the contents, let's take a quick minute to read up on what this box is all about :

An amazing box of carefully curated items from a variety of indie brands & companies. Charitable organization changes every quarter, and all proceeds from sales are donated to said organization. This
quarter our collection is to promote Breast Cancer Awareness and proceeds will be donated to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation.

This collection is to promote Breast Cancer Awareness and proceeds will be donated to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation.

Initially we had decided to donate to Susan G. Komen, however we learned that the Breast Cancer Research Foundation has a higher percentage of contributions donated to actual research. The inserts have already been printed so they will still say Susan G. Komen, however an edit will be included in the box to indicate the new organization receiving the donation.

Boxes are extremely limited and will not be restocked; scents and shades are exclusive to this box and will not be available in the individual brand's shops. $30 price includes shipping.

Inside, nestled beautifully in shades of pink were a foot balm, a soap bar, a sugar scrub, a set of wax melts and a gorgeous polish of Joanne! Not only did this box come packaged beautifully but it already smelled amazing! I was really excited to discover a few new-to-me indie brands and a couple of long-time favorites!

Creekside Naturals (Foot Balm) - "Grandma Mary Lou"
The World's Best Grandma: my mother-in-law has been gone way too long. We miss her so. She loved the great outdoors "barefoot," so this balm is the perfect choice. She would have loved it! The scent is peppermint, which reminds us of the holiday she loved. My husband and I wish to thank you for supporting the cause ~ Jim & Cindee SmithThe hidden shimmer in this one is so gorgeous at certain lights!

Minty and refreshing, I love how soothing this balm feels after a long, hard day at work and commuting all over the city of New York. And, as always, my feet can use all the help it can get!

Storybook Scents (Wax Clamshell) - "Sammie Anne"
My grandmother is one of those people that when she walks in the room you feel like you're home. She is amazing, strong, beautiful, an entrepreneur, and the most loving person one could hope to meet. This tart is my take on her all-time favorite scent, Flowerbomb.
Notes include marshmallow, vanilla, jasmine, freesia, & woody musk. Sammie Anne has been in remission from stage 3 breast cancer for about 10 years now, and I couldn’t admire her more for her bravery during that time. We love you Grammie!

Thanks to Joanne, I'm now slightly obsessed with wax melts and florals are my favorite scents so it was with much joy, I opened this package...only to discover that it smelled more like cotton candy. The combination of marshmallow and vanilla will make your house smell like a delicious, warm-out-of-the-over dessert. I love this scent but don't expect a strong floral!

Daphine Polish (Nail Polish) - "Electric Rose"
A neon rose pink packed with pink, peach, and gold micro shimmers. Two to three coats to opacity depending on nail length and application. This polish is dedicated to my mother, my aunts, and my grandmother, all strong Irish roses who were affected by breast cancer.

This gorgeous neon applied absolutely beautifully--the swatches below show just 3 thin coats, topped with 1 generous coat of Glisten & Glow's HK Girl topcoat.  So pretty, it wore an almost neon shade of coral on me! Absolutely in love!

Handmade Natural Beauty (Foaming Sugar Scrub) - "Almond Vanilla Berry,”
My specialty Pink Ribbon scent dedicated to women everywhere to promote breast cancer awareness and support brave breast cancer survivors.

This scrub smells absolutely divine and makes my skin feel so good afterwards! I took it into the bathroom just to test it on my hands but I ended up using quite a bit in the shower on my feet and various other spots which needed a little TLC!

Udder Joy (Goat Milk Soap) - "Bliss"
I chose this fragrance as it's one of my mother's favorites. She is a survivor of breast cancer; it has been a long road, but after a double mastectomy, she has been cancer-free for two years. Bliss is a lovely blend of sweet cherry, toasted coconut, and crushed almond on a background of warm vanilla bean and creamed sugar.

Since I'm drowning in soap bars, I have to admit I haven't tried this yet and although I'm not a huge fan of coconut, the cherry notes won me over!

First Sunday (Breast Cancer Awareness Keychain)
A beautiful embroidered keychain, lovingly donated by Jana Oglesby from First Sunday.

A very sweet, little way to show your support.

  1. Thanks is so sweet, and what a great cause. Sorry if I missed it somewhere-do they ship out side of the US? And what is the dollar value per box sold that is going to the charity? Thanks! ❤

  3. By a long shot, bosom disease is among the greatest worries in bosoms wellbeing, it is the second driving reason for malignancy passing among ladies. As per the American Cancer Society, most likely around at least 200,000 US ladies will find this year they have bosom growth. click here now
