BORGHESE Fall 2015 collection : Swatches and Review

Hi there, my darlings! TGIF! It's been such a crazy, long week and I for one am glad that it's over! But, before I sign off for the week, I'd like to share for you a special collection that Borghese has curated for the Fall--they've put together 5 of their products that's just perfect for the season!

Let's a take at them in the order that I put them to use!

1. Cura di Vita Protettivo Protective Moisturizer SPF 15

Proper hydration of the skin is an essential step to maintain a healthy and youthful appearance. This sheer, incredibly light formula provides a silken, barely-there feel, yet imparts exceptional moisturization and advanced protection from the premature and visible signs of skin aging. Vitamins C and E are proven and powerful antioxidants. Squalane, Bisabolol and Hyaluronic Acid help to hydrate, soothe and restore. Skin is left sublime, soft and beautifully luminous.

I actually was very surprised by how much I liked this moisturizer! As I've mentioned several times, I have combination, acne-prone, sensitive skin that doesn't react well to thick formulas or rather reacts violently with a spurt of acne. But this was pleasantly light and absorbed quite quickly, leaving behind a mild, faintly floral scent.

2. Eclissare ColorEdge Eye Pencils
  • Pure, intense and true to color
  • Long-wearing, zero smudge
  • Rich and creamy formula for a ultra smooth, easy application
  • Perfect for subtle definition and bold smoky look

The shade Brownout, described below, was included in this collection :

Brownout : Rich, True Brown

I'm incredibly impressed with this liner! I wear contacts so liners that are too rough are a big no-no for me. This one glided on so smoothly and gently--in fact, I pressed down a little too hard while attempting my first swatch and the poor tip broke right off. But my second attempt went much better and I love how pigmented this shade of brown is!

3. Eclissare Color Eclipse 5 Shades of Torrid

A saturation spectrum of 5 Demure to All-Out-Allure shades. Color that overshadows. Completely transcends. In finishes that you’ll find a phenomena; so-smooth mattes, polychromatic pearls, and gleam-and-glow metallics. Color with depth, dimension and luminance, it will stir and please, and may change the way you see color.

The five shades in this palette are :

  • Wisp - a light, matte-finish ivory.
  • Kindle- a soft champagne taupe, satin-pearl finish.
  • Stoke- a medium brown, warm undertones, matte-finish.
  • Sear- a deep brown, matte-finish.
  • Torch- a medium champagne, pink overtones, highly metallized.
Muted and neutral, this palette can deliver either a daytime. professional look in shades of beige and chocolate or a Fall-inspired smokey eye in shades of dark brown and champagne. I did find Wisp a tad chalky both in formula and for my complexion but the other 4 shades are just perfect for Fall.

4. Eclissare ColorRise Blush

  • Wearable, neutral shades perfect for any skin tone
  • Exceptionally pure pigments for an even distribution and a more natural glow
  • Color glides on smoothly, perfectly providing a flawless finish
  • Sculpts, contours and defines cheekbone

I received the shade Flight  which is described below :

Flight : deep bronze with golden shimmer

Although I loved how light and smooth this blush was, as you can see, this really doesn't show up on my complexion. I would probably mixed this with a bolder shade on an experimental day.

5. Eclissare ColorStruck Lipstick in Threshold

Vibrant, color-saturated lip crème. Multi-dimensional infusion of pigment and pearl for a fuller lip illusion. Shine, smooth, creamy, radiant and available in 12 tantalizing, color-rich shades.

This lipstick was my favorite part of this collection--I ADORE this shade! I love how pigmented it is, how there's a hint of shimmer and I love the smooth, buttery formula. Bottomline? I pretty much love everything about this lipstick and I can see that it's going to be one of my faves this season!
