BUTTER LONDON Shadow Clutch : Swatches and Review

Hi there, my darlings! I'm hoping you saw my first butter LONDON makeup review a few months ago but if you haven't heard the news, butter LONDON now not only makes gorgeous polish but has forayed into the world of cosmetics too. My first thought was "YAY!" because a girl can never have too much makeup, right?! And they proved with their Brilliant Lip Crayons (which you can find reviewed HERE) that they knew what they were doing. So, when another box of makeup goodies arrived from butter LONDON, I was thrilled--in it, their new, customizable Shadow Clutch in Natural Charm plus two Wardrobe Duos in Moody Blues and Fancy Flutter!

Let's take a peek at what the Natural Charm Palette is, shall we?

ShadowClutch - Vivid, 6-Shade Customizable Colour Palettes
An ever-expanding wardrobe of flexible colour options is at your fingertips. The butter LONDON ShadowClutch - Primer-infused, oil absorbing, skin-balancing shadows that pack on true colour payoff. Show one off or layer them on with seamless blendability; you'll crave the luxe range of irresistible go-to hues and textures. All this in a chic, customizable clutch featuring a unique, dual-ended brush for limitless colour potential and eye-popping style. This is truly covet-worthy colour with care.

Features & Benefits:

  • Customizable Palette
  • Primer infused
  • True colour payoff
  • Skin-balancing
  • Blendable/buildable
  • Oil Absorbing

Each palette has 6 shades--the Natural Charm palette has 6 neutral shades that are great for everyday wear, whether that be during the day or at night :
  • Linen - Matte Vanilla
  • Quartz - Warm Beige Sheen
  • Camo - Dark Khaki Sheen
  • Camel - Matte Nude
  • Citrine - Coral Sheen
  • Leather - Matte Chocolate Brown

FROM LEFT TO RIGHT : Linen, Quartz, Camo, Camel, Citrine and Leather

Now, when I say customizable, I mean it! The little shadow duos pop right out of the clutch and allows you to replace them with any of the Wardrobe Duos of your choice. You can mix and match to make sure you have the shadows for your look always at hand.

Here's a look at the two Wardrobe Duos I was sent :

Fancy Flutter :
  • Feather - Beige Sheen
  • Plume - Chameleon Sheen

FROM LEFT TO RIGHT : Plume and Feather

Moody Blues :
  • Sequins - Soft Mint Green Sheen
  • Sapphire - Deep Navy Sheen

FROM LEFT TO RIGHT : Sapphire and Sequins

IMPRESSIONS : Although I prefer bright jewel tones to neutral shades, I enjoyed this particular palette--I think Quartz and Citrine had just enough shimmer and shine to satisfy me! The shadows themselves are quite pigmented without being impossible to remove and although a couple of the shades did have fallout, for example Leather, it wasn't a huge issue--the majority were really velvety smooth!

My faves out of them all? I think I'm in love with the Moody Blues Duo--I love a smokey, navy blue eye for a night out on the town!

So there you have it, my darlings! You can pick up a Shadow Clutch of your own, either in Natural Charm like mine or in Pretty Proper, on butter LONDON's site HERE for the price of $39.00 each. You can also find them at fine retailers near you such as Macy's, Ulta and Dillard's, both in-store and online! Don't forget to follow butter LONDON through the social media outlets below :
