INCIDENTAL TWIN, Epic, Lachesis and Seapunk : Swatches and Review

Hi there, my darlings! So, I'm sure you all know that we featured Sami of Incidental Twin in our Indie Feature Series a couple of weeks ago. We had a giveaway, we had an interview...and I promised you a review, as always. Well, what happened to THAT, you may have wondered? Let's just say USPS happened. Sigh. But better late than never! Bright and early this morning, I have 3 really cool toppers from Sami--I asked for something interesting to review and she totally delivered! Take a peek!

Epic is described as a "super-sparkly green-to-gold duochrome topper in the same category with Mythical, Space Opera and Seapunk, and does best over a dark color, like perhaps my own Lampblack or Black as Pitch! It'd take a lot to make it opaque on it's own, though it would make a nice bit of subtle awesomeness if you have a serious-minded job and still love duochromes." No complaints at all with formula or application--it's not too thick nor too thin, although the brush can be a bit of a challenge. The swatches below show just ONE COAT, except for the middle finger which shows two, over Glisten & Glow's Mantras atop Mountains, topped with 1 generous coat of Glisten & Glow's HK Girl topcoat. I know toppers like this look best over darker colors but it's Spring and I wanted to see how it would hold up over a lighter shade...and I actually love how this turned out! Subtle yet so shimmery in the light!

Lachesis is described as a "deeper reddish with smaller blueish sparkles. It has a little more coverage and a little less exuberance, like the Fate that measures the thread." Lovely formula or application--again, the brush is the only glitch in my book. The swatches below show just ONE COAT, except for the middle finger which shows two, over Glisten & Glow's Calming Ones Chakras, topped with 1 generous coat of Glisten & Glow's HK Girl topcoat. Ok. I admit this one would probably look better over a darker shade but those blue sparkles in the macro made it all worth it!

Seapunk is described as a "super-sparkly blue-green duochrome with reddish-pink at it's very extreme." Fantastic with formula or application--oh, if only this brush didn't bother me so! The swatches below show just ONE COAT, except for the middle finger which shows two, over Glisten & Glow's Seas of Silence, topped with 1 generous coat of Glisten & Glow's HK Girl topcoat. Love, love, LOVE how this turned out--perfect for Spring!

So there you have it, my darlings! You can find lots of interesting polishes on Incidental Twin's Etsy store HERE--each full-size, 15 mL bottle is priced at $9.50.
