NAILNATION 3000 Black Box Beauties : Swatches and Review

Hi, my darlings!! Today's review marks my very first post as a blogger for Maria of NailNation 3000! These first three beauties landed up on my doorstep just as I was zipping up my suitcases to head to India and once there, the wedding preparations took over my life. So...I'm super late posting these! But I'm back to form and I'll have lots of NailNation swatches for you in the coming couple of weeks!

Before we get to swatches, let's talk about the formula and application of these polishes. All three holos applied fabulously--smooth and even. They were just the right consistency, not too thick nor too thin and I noticed no patchiness or streakiness to mar their beauty. Plus, they dried very quickly--I was able to apply 3 thin coats, one after the other, with no more than a minute break between each coat. Now, without any further ado, let's take a look at these limited-edition holos, shall we?

First up, I have for you Never Back Down--a beautiful metallic duochrome that flashes from a dark plum to a copper with a strong holographic finish. This polish was created by Maria to bring awareness to Chiari Malformation--a devastating brain defect that has affected Maria's family personally. All proceeds helped fund her daughter's treatment and Maria has pledged all proceeds from next year's sales to research.

Next I have for you Wild Fires and Weddings--a metallic duochrome that flashes from an antique gold to a pale olive green, accented by a hint of a pink shimmer, with a strong holographic finish. This one is just made for Fall!

Last but not the least, I have for you Scooterific--a gorgeous magenta berry shade with a strong holographic finish. Knowing my love of berries and reds, it should come as no surprise that this was my absolute favorite!
