THE HOLO HOOKUP collaboration box for July 2016 : Swatches and Review

Hi there, my darlings! Fri-YAY! It's been another long week so I'm glad the weekend is just a couple of hours away! To start the weekend off right, I'd like to share the next installment of The Holo Hookup. The theme for July 2016's all-holo The Holo Hookup collaboration box featuring Jill of Glisten & Glow, Missi of Different Dimension, Sara of Cupcake Polish and special guest, Emily de Molly is "Great Barrier Reef'". Here's a look at their inspiration pics below!

Queen Anthias from Cupcake Polish is a "purple linear holo with a slightly metallic finish". Smooth, easy formula and application--this baby is a tad on the thicker side so you could totally even get away with just one coat depending on how you tend to paint your coats. The swatches below show 2 easy coats topped with 1 thin coat of Glisten & Glow's HK Girl topcoat. This is, hands-down, one of the most gorgeous purples I have in my collection!

P. Sherman, 42 Wallaby Way, Sydney from Different Dimension is a "cobalt blue linear holo with gold galaxy glitters". Lovely formula and application--another one where you could probably get away with one coat! the swatches below show just 2 coats topped with 1 thin coat of Glisten & Glow's HK Girl topcoat to bring it all together. I love this rich yet vibrant blue and those gold galaxy glitters pop so unexpectedly at certain angles!

Great Barrier Reef Coral from Glisten & Glow is a "burnt orange linear holo with added gold shimmers". Velvety smooth application and formula--Jill's holo are so easy to work with! The swatches below show 2 generous coats topped with 1 thin coat of Glisten & Glow's HK Girl topcoat. Now, I'm not often a fan of orange but I fell in love with this beauty the minute I saw it--the richness of the orange, the beautiful gold shimmers and the striking holo all combined to steal my heart!

Warm Seas Rising from Emily de Molly  is a "light teal green with bronze/gold multichrome flakies". Beautiful formula and application--I've been a fan of EdMs for almost as long as I've been swatching so I know first-hand how buttery smooth her formulas are! The swatches below show just 2 easy coats, topped with 1 THIN coat of Glisten & Glow's HK Girl topcoat. Such an aptly named polish because to me this looks nothing more than a warm, tropical ocean!
