My First Products from MEASURABLE DIFFERENCE!

Hi there, my darlings! TGI...F! What an exhausting week at work it's been, with us wrapping up the school year. But finally, finally just about everything is done--labs are done for the year, the cleaning up is almost done and exams are drawing to a close. There's just a couple of more exciting events for the graduating class and I think the most exciting of them all, aside from commencement itself, is Prom! Our Prom is admittedly later than most and our kids are still frantically shopping. So, if you're one of those last-minute shoppers and want to try out a new brand for a reasonable price point, I have just the brand for you! Recently, Measurable Difference, the makers of the popular lash growth serum LashEm, sent over a few of their products for me to try and for the most part, I was pleasantly surprised by the quality! So, let's take a look at what I've been playing with.

Platinum Nights Eyeshadow ($13.00) : 5 pan eyeshadow palette of white, grey, and black hues for eyes

I'll be honest with you all here. My first impression of this palette wasn't overly favorable because I wasn't exactly thrilled with the packaging--it just felt kinda...flimsy to me. With the care and flair that brands shower on their palettes nowadays, this felt like a poor second, a Plain Jane amongst the Barbies and Bratz of the makeup world.

But, this palette is the very epitome of that old saying, "Don't judge a book by its cover." Is it glitzy? No. Is it flashy? Not really. Are the eye shadows of a good quality? Yes, they sure are! All 5 shades are pretty well pigmented, needing nothing but a couple of swipes with a finger or the included applicator. But I think the most impressive part for me was that there was minimal fallout, even with the glittery shades. At that price and with 5 shades that are imminently wearable, I'd say this was a pretty good addition to any collection, even if it is for just one special night like Prom!

The Diamond Collection Lucky Pair Lipstick Set - Flamingo ($14.00) :

The Lucky Pair by Measurable Difference® offers two highly pigmented, long-lasting colors. This rich formula glides on smoothly and gives a non-drying finish. It’s a 2-piece set featuring raging coral red and baby pink. This color combination moisturizes lips for soft, sexy appeal. Get non-stop coverage from day to night with this dynamic duo.

Benefits:
  • Non-glossy, matte finish
  • Richly-pigmented color
  • Smooth application

I'm usually picky about lipsticks and stay away from sets for precisely one reason : more often than not, only one or two colors will work and work well with my complexion. So, why bother buying multiples in set, when I know that the rest of them are going to lie around gathering dust at the bottom of some drawer? I'd rather pick up something that I know I'll wear individually. This is pretty much the case here.

The coral-red on the left is something I would absolutely wear while the light, frosty pink...not so much. It's a really great price for the duo and I rather like both the pigmentation and feel of these lippies, so if you like both shades, I'd say definitely go for it!
