Before we get started, let's talk quickly about the formula and application of these polishes. M Polish's Winter 2015 collection consists of 3 scattered holographic polishes and 3 metallic shades that can be applied traditionally or used to stamp. This post shows traditional swatches. Much like their counterparts in the Fall collection, the metallic shades (Frost, Bells, Carol) applied beautifully and was perfectly opaque in ONE easy coat. The holos, while you could definitely get away with one coat if you tend to paint thicker coats, I chose to use 2 smooth coats of each for greater depth of color. All the swatches below, metallic and holos, are topped with 1 coat of Glisten & Glow's HK Girl topcoat. With all that out of the way, let's get to swatches!
Cranberry is a rich jewel-toned maroon polish with a scattered holographic finish. Such a perfect, vampy shade!
Joy is a bright jewel-toned blue polish with a scattered holographic finish. I love this shade of blue--it's so gorgeous for this time of year!
Figgy is a deep jewel-toned purple polish with a scattered holographic finish. Such a beautiful shade of purple!
Carol is a golden orange holo with added bronze microflakies. So pretty!
Frost is a silver holo with added platinum microflakies. This one is definitely my fave of the 3 metallics in this collection!
Bells is a gold holo with added gold microflakies. (Don't mind the single-fingered swatch--I had a tragic break just before I could finish swatching this collection.)
BONUS : I know you guys have been waiting for this one! Here's the gorgeous custom Megan created for our feature--Happy Holodays, a multichrome holo that also stamps. Absolutely fantastic formula and application--the swatches below show 2 easy coats. topped with 1 coat of Glisten & Glow's HK Girl topcoat. How absolutely MARVELOUS is this?!
