LAURA GELLER The-Delectables Eye Shadow Palettes : Swatches and Review

Hi there, my darlings! I'm very excited about this afternoon's post because today I'll be sharing my first review for a brand that I've admired for quite awhile now--Laura Geller! Over the years, Laura Geller has come to be known for innovation in beauty--from her beloved Spackle to her unique baked shadows, these are extraordinary products for everyday life. Today, I'd like to share with you two such fantastic products that I've had the pleasure of testing--The Delectables's Eye Shadow palettes in both Cool and Nude.

The Cool palette immediately caught my eye :

Indulge in 14 cool shades of Laura Geller's new weightless Baked eye shadow. Each shade can be applied dry or wet to make hues more intense or to use as a liner. The possibilities are endless. Combines creamy, long-wear of a primer with the intense yet flattering colors of pure Baked pigments.

Containing a mix of subtle neutrals and bold jewel tones, this palette immediately caught my eye. With this palette, you can effortlessly transition from a more neutral daytime look to a sultrier, sexier smokey-eyed look for a night out on the town!

TOP ROW, LEFT TO RIGHT : Marble, Slate,Smoke, Frosting, Graphite, Midnight, Blueberry
BOTTOM ROW, LEFT TO RIGHT : Macaron, Candy, Bronze, Lilac, Amethyst, Plum, Carbon

My favorites? I really loved Midnight, Amethyst, Smoke, Graphite, Blueberry and Plum. Actually, almost all the shades in this palette, except for maybe Marble and Slate, work really well with my complexion! Take a closer look :

BOTTOM ROW, LEFT TO RIGHT : Macaron, Candy, Bronze, Lilac, Amethyst, Plum, Carbon

Now let's take a peek at the Nude palette :

Indulge in 14 nude shades of Laura Geller's new weightless Baked eye shadow. Each shade can be applied dry or wet to make hues more intense or to use as a liner. The possibilities are endless. Combines creamy, long-wear of a primer with the intense yet flattering colors of pure Baked pigments.

This palette contains a mix of warm tones and nude shades--well suited for formal occasions or professional attire. Hey, you still want to look good for that power lunch or office Christmas party!

TOP ROW, LEFT TO RIGHT : Creme, Dolce, Hazelnut, Raisin, Truffle, Khaki, Forest
BOTTOM ROW, LEFT TO RIGHT : Vanilla, Mushroom, Honey, Sunrise, Vintage, Brown Sugar, Mahogany

Nudes usually bore me, most neutral shades tend to blend in with my complexion and really look like I wasted time on my makeup for nothing at all, I prefer bold, bright jewel tones. So, I was really surprised with how much I loved this palette! Yes, they are neutral shades but by no means boring! I particularly like the shimmery shades of Sunrise, Vintage, Raisin and Brown Sugar

IMPRESSIONS : You know now that I really liked several of the shades. But what about formula, you ask? Well, I'm pleased to tell you that I was hugely impressed with the formula of these Baked Eye Shadows--they go on like velvet, are intensely pigmented with just a couple of swipes and best part, there's MINIMAL fallout! Fallout is the bane of my existence when it comes to eye makeup and, in my experience, lighter/nude shades often have more fallout than their darker counterparts. Not so with these! You can see from the swatches above--these go on very cleanly and stay put for hours! Overall, two thumbs way up from me!

So there you have it, my darlings! You can pick up either of these gorgeous palettes for yourself or a loved one on Laura Geller's site HERE for the price of $45.00 each--worth every single penny! You can also find them at fine retailers near you such as Macy's, Ulta and Nordstrom, both in-store and online. Don't forget to follow Laura Geller through the social media outlets below :

  1. I bought the cool toned palette and wished that it was all cool tones, no warm thrown in.

  2. Even though I'm technically cool-toned, I love the warm toned palette and think those would be great redhead shades. Lovely!

  10. In the event that we investigate the historical backdrop of cosmetics, at that point we find that the Egyptians were the antecedents of cosmetic use. High quality makeup
