SALON PERFECT : Easy Nail Art Look created using Basic Black on Black, Silver Striper and Holographic Nail Art Foils

Hi, my darlings! This evening, I have a quick and easy nail art look to share with you all! If you follow me on Instagram, you may have seen a sneak peek of what I like to call my "Thunderstorm" look already. But today, I'd like to share with you what I used to create this look!

All the products used in this look are from Salon Perfect--Oil Slick, a shiny black creme; silver striper; and, silver holographic nail foil from one of their nail art kits.

Here's a quick step-by-step guide :

1. Paint nails with two coats of Oil Slick. Allow to dry until just tacky or slightly sticky to the touch.

2. Flip a section of the nail foil onto the blank side and draw your thunderbolt(s)
TIP : Use a pencil or a light touch with a pen when drawing on the backs. The foils are pretty thin and ink can bleed through--I used a red pen and you can see the little bits of red that bled through the shine of the front.

3. Carefully cut out your thunderbolts and place on still-tacky nails.

4. Immediately add 1 thin coat of top coat.

5. Once dry, using the silver striper, draw dashes or streaks in a diagonal. This doesn't have to be perfect! You want to mimic the wildness of rain during a thunderstorm!

6. Seal your look with 1 more coat of top coat.

And...here are my results! I SO love this look!

So there you have it, my darlings! I must say this is one of my favorite nail art looks and it was a snap with these great products from Salon Perfect--I had pretty much everything I needed right at my fingertips!
