BARIELLE Spring 2014 Velvets collection : Swatches and Review

Hi there, my darlings! Only TWO more days to the official first day of Spring and the sun is FINALLY out! It's still cold but at least there's a little bit of sun! Now, many of those who know me will tell you that I'm a complete night owl and that darkness is my friend--this is true but when you've been sick ALL weekend, you appreciate the warmth of the sun!

Speaking of Spring, today I have the Spring 2014 Velvets collection from Barielle to show all of you! These are the more muted shades of Barielle's Spring collection and include some very pretty neutrals that are very office friendly! Ready to see some swatches? =)

First up, I have Cream & Sugar--a sheer light beige jelly.  Both the formula and application on this polish were lovely--each brush stroke went on smooth and easy. I used 3 generous coats by itself for the swatches below. Since this is formulated to be sheer, some visible nail line is inevitable but I think this is a PERFECT shade to use in a French mani, especially if your a woman of color like myself!

The second polish in this collection is Uptown Girl--a soft beige/ivory creme. As with many creamy neutrals, the first coat does tend to go on a little streaky but I was impressed with how well this polish levels out and builds up to full opaciaty. I used 3 generous coats for the swatches below. This is a great neutral for work or professional settings!

The third polish in this collection is My Tan Blazer--a camel toned tan creme. I had no issues at all with the formula or application and I used 3 generous coats for the swatches below. Again, another great neutral!

The next polish in this collection is My Week Away--a delicate muted pink creme with a gorgeous hidden green shimmer. The formula and application on this polish was just lovely--I used 3 generous coats for the swatches below. So feminine and pretty!

With flash, to show the hint of shimmer that shines through when the light hits it at just the right angle!

The next polish in this collection is one of my two personal favorites--A Little Exotic is described by Barielle as a "muted rusty pink" with an almost crelly-like finish. The formula and application on this polish was fabulous--I used 3 smooth coats for the swatches below. LOVE this look!

Last but definitely not the least is  the second of my two favorites--Sexy Mood is described by Barielle as a muted magenta with the same crelly-like finish as A Little Exotic. Again, no issues to report with formula or application and I used 3 generous coats for the swatches below. Just gorgeous, isn't it?
