Take A New Look At AVON This New Year!

Hi there, my darlings! So...have you ever been guilty of taking a brand for granted? By virtue of it's sheer ease of accessibility? I mean, we all kinda want what we can't have and covet those oh-so-gorgeous-yet-oh-so-limited-edition-and-crazy-expensive products, right? Meanwhile, some really wonderful things literally pop up in our backyards and we fail to notice. I feel this way about Avon. I remember growing up in India, with tons of their lipsticks filling my mother's stash. Even in then-not-so-advanced India, you could find a local Avon lady. Somewhere along the line familiarity bred boredom, if not contempt, and I have to admit it's been years since I picked up an Avon product. That's precisely why when this particularly press release showed up in my inbox, I knew I had to give it try. For the sake of my curiosity...and for science, of course! Let's just say I was not at all disappointed by this decision.


Today, we'll be talking about a couple of the brand's latest additions:

Avon True Color Glimmersticks ($7 each)

Loaded with pure-color pigment, these long-lasting eyeliners give your eyes a shot of sexy sparkle with ease and precision.

Right off the bat, I had high hopes for these babies and they really do live up to those expectations. Not only are these shades incredibly pigmented in just one swipe but they glide on so smoothly. Is there anything worse than a hard liner on your delicate waterline? I think not! And for that price, you really can't go wrong with picking up a couple...or more!

Avon True Color Wide Awake Mascara ($5.99)

Made with Avon’s Lift&Lock Technology, this new mascara provides intense color, length, and volume in just one swipe.
How good could a $6 mascara really be, right? The answer; pretty darn good for that price! As I get further and further along on my blogging journey, I have found myself becoming more and more picky about certain beauty products. Mascara is definitely one of them. I want a mascara to give to volume and curl and impossible length--basically, I want it all! While this mascara falls a little short on the drama factor, it's a great everyday option, with that funky brush really getting in there to coat even the tiniest of lashes! And really, can you beat that price?!
