Firstly, let me just say that I'm a matte lippie kinda girl, usually finding glosses much too high-maintenance. That being said, the whole 3D pigments definitely piqued my interest so I knew I had to give them a whirl. For the sake of science and all, you know!
Right off the bat, there's a couple of things I really liked. First of all, they DO smell lovely! Think the pleasing but not overwhelming scent of your favorite lip balm. Secondly, I like the shimmer of those 3D pigments, very pronounced in Lilac (shown below) and subtly appealing in the other two.
Lastly. I really like the pigmentation of Berry Frost and Pink Sapphire and the sheer, delicate shimmer of Lilac. Surprisingly, both of the first shades look quite similar on my skin tone, with just a shade difference between the two. Still, totally something I would wear.
So, now on to the all-important question. Does it make your lips appear fuller? With all that shimmer, it sure does! The illusion of fuller lips is achieved by light reflecting off the surface of your lips and that shimmer just helps that process along. Am I a lipgloss convert? No, because although not overly so, these are still a bit too sticky as most glosses tend to be! I'll stick to my matte lippies but these are great to layer over some of my more drying matte formulas. Overall, definitely worth a try!

I love these, but Lilac is the one that I wear the most! Lovely review!
ReplyDeleteI'm actually a gloss fan since I can't wear liquid mattes, but I like my glosses to be completely opaque. Nevertheless, the 3D aspect really does intrigue me. I'm wondering if they're like the City Lips gloss with hyaluronic acid and other lip healing ingredients that I love. The two deeper shades are my kind of colors!
ReplyDeletePink Sapphire looks SO pretty!
ReplyDeleteI have a love/hate relationship with gloss. I love the look but I don't love any stickiness. Lilac is so pretty though that I think I could get over any reason to dislike it.
ReplyDeleteThese are nice lip glosses
ReplyDeleteThese are all really pretty.
ReplyDeleteWhat lovely shades!
ReplyDeleteThese shades are so pretty!
ReplyDeleteFuller lips and less wrinkles would be on my wish list, LOL! These are very pretty shades of gloss.
ReplyDeleteHonestly it would have to be fuller lips. I don't have typical "African-American" lips lol.
