Friday Night Head-to-Toe At-Home Spa Sesh!

Hi there, my darlings! TGIF!!! I have had a he...ck of a week. I've been going through some changes/upheavals in my career and life has just been a rollercoaster of emotions this week. Since things are still not settled to my satisfaction, if you all out there are reading this and want to throw a quick prayer/thought/good vibe my way, you know I'll be ever grateful! I'm keeping my fingers crossed that things settle down one way or another and I can get back to posting 5 days a week, which is what my editorial calendar and my own peace of mind demands. In the meantime, I had a couple unscheduled breaks which I couldn't avoid despite my best intentions. But it did give me a little time after the stress of the day to "try" to relax and test out/re-discover some of my favorites. So, today I'm sharing with you all several of my faves for a head-to-toe, top-to-bottom, at-home spa session.

First, always first a good mask! I'm already a big fan of L’Oréal Charcoal Detox and Brighten Treatment Mask--you can read all about about me raving about it HERE. But, recently I also got the chance to try out the other two in the Pure-Clay line--the Exfoliate and Treatment mask which I love for my face and the Purify and Treatment Mask which, believe it or not, I've been using for my decollete and under the girls.

The first mentioned is a red clay mask and I love that it's exfoliating--my face always needs a little exfoliation at least once a week, especially for those residual acne scars. Super quick drying, I just massage the mask off my face with warm water once done and my skin just glows afterwards!

As for the second mask, I decided to use it under my breasts when I noticed myself getting these annoying little pimples/blemishes/whatevers. I know it's stress-related but I fidured I could use a little help. The white clay mask is made with eucalyptus and specially formulated to unclog pores. Not only is it incredibly soothing but the area does seem to have improved! Win!

You know, when one uses these masks, you're told to avoid the eye area and no one thinks about their lips really. I love that ToGoSpa has masks specifically for these areas! The collagen-based masks are incredibly hydrating and soothing--a godsend for tired, sleep-deprived eyes or dry, chapped lips! At around $12.50 or so each, I think these would be perfect Stocking Stuffers for the upcoming Holiday season!

On to in-shower activities! Let me just start by saying...I HATE shaving! So when Completely Bare sent over their Moisturizing No.Bump Shave Gel and Body Moisturizer and Hair Inhibitor, I was pretty stoked! This kinda stuff takes awhile to really test but I have great expectations! My first impression has been quite positive since the gel does make shaving more comfortable!

Ah Fall! Tis' the season for warm, inviting scents, right? That's why the Philip B. Soul and Body Wash in Chai Latte seemed like the perfect addition. I'm usually a floral girl but I can't tell you how much I enjoyed the warm, cinnamony scent when I stepped out of the hot shower! This is such a rich, intense scent that I bet you could gift it to the man in your life and he would love it!

As for my hair, I needed to use my regular Head and Shoulders to really clean my scalp and clear my head. But it is colder, so I also needed the extra hydration from Goldwell Kerasilk Color Intensive Luster Mask, which is designed for color treated hair to add moisture and deeply condition while protecting color depth and brilliance. And my hair smelled and felt SO good afterwards! So soft, so luxurious, so touchable!

The, I actually took the time to blow dry my hair, instead of letting it air-dry as usual just so I could try out KMS California Quick Blow Dry. Not only does this provide good heat protection but it does speed up the drying process, even with my yards of hair! No surprise that this is going to be a staple in my haircare routine, especially during the Winter months!

Now, this one is a rather unique little product! I'm a little obsessed with oral hygiene and tend to brush my teeth several times a day. You can only imagine what that does to my toothbrushes. So, I'm trying a new one! The HartFelt 360 toothbrush is a manual toothbrush with a rotating head. Yes, there's a bit of a learning curve if you're use to standard toothbrushes but once you're past that and have trained yourself to brush in circular motions as recommended by most dentists, this baby really gives your mouth a super clean feel! I particularly recommend it for those of you with sensitive teeth and gums.

Lots of washing and scrubbing and pampering later, I was finally ready to finish up! I've recently become a HUGE fan of Pixi Beauty and I cannot rave enough about their Glow Tonic. This stuff is magical, I promise! It's an exfoliating toner that's perfect for acne-prone skin like mine and believe me when I say, the stuff smells like apples and love! My skin is never happier than when I've ended my night with this baby!

After luxuriating in the toner, I added a little of the new Rose Oil Blend Serum to my regular moisturizer for an extra treat. A little goes a long way with this intense floral oil but your skin will thank you for it by just glowing from within!

Last but not the least, I couldn't have a spa day without dipping into a few products from one of my fave bath and body brands, LATHER, now could I? I particularly love their body butters and the Sofian Lavender Whipped Body Creme is one of the only things I'm scraping bottom with this month. So, I just had to try a couple of their other body butters!

The Almond, Milk and Honey Body Butter is incredibly rich, moisturizing formula yet absorbs really quickly, leaving behind a warm nutty scent that very pleasing! Perfect for just about anywhere you want to pamper or give a little extra TLC.

The Manuka Honey Body Butter is thicker than the other two and is perfect for those areas that get rough easily--ankle, elbows and feet in particular. I've been slathering it on my feet and massaging it in before bed and my feet aren't as awful as my summer sandals around NYC left them. This one has a surprisingly unexpected citrus tang that's quite refreshing!

So there you have it, my darlings! Want a spa session of your own but don't want to do all the work yourself? Treat yourself or a loved one to a Spa Week giftcard! Here's a little bit about them and the offer!
