LIFESTYLE LACQUER by NAIL JEWELRY BLING Quest for the Holo Grail collection : Swatches and Review

Hi there, my darlings! As part of our featured indie series AND because there's a launch coming in just a few hours, today I'll be sharing my swatches of the Quest for the Holo Grail collection Hillary of Nail Jewelry Bling's new brand, Lifestyle Lacquer! If you love holo and microglitter, you're going to flip for this collection!

Holy Hand Grenade of Antioch is a yellow-tinted jelly base with yellow holographic microglitter. This one was a tad thinner than all the others in this collection and I preferred 3 coats to achieve the level of opacity I desired but since the formula AND drying time are both pretty great, layering it on should be a breeze! The swatches below show 3 thin coats, topped with 2 thin coats of Glisten & Glow's HK Girl topcoat to bring it all together. Gorgeous, bright yellow!

Your Father Smelt of Elder-Berry is a fuchsia-tinted jelly base with fuchsia and a touch of purple holographic microglitter. No issues to report with formula or application and the swatches below show 2 coats, topped with 1 thin coat of Glisten & Glow's HK Girl topcoat to bring it all together...although in hindsight, this could have used one more coat of topcoat. Such a pretty pink shade!

A Shrubbery is a turquoise-tinted jelly base with turquoise holographic microglitter. This was a bit thicker of a formula to work with and my advice is to wait til the first coat dries completely before you add a second. The swatches below show 2 coats, topped with 2 thin coats of Glisten & Glow's HK Girl topcoat to bring it all together. This shade is just perfect for Summer and indeed is one of my faves of this collection!

Naughty Zoot! is a purple-tinted jelly base with fine purple holographic microglitter. This one goes on quite sheer with the first coat but I was pleasantly surprised to note that one more, albeit a little thicker, second coat achieves full opacity. The swatches below show 2 coats, topped with 1 thin coat of Glisten & Glow's HK Girl topcoat to bring it all together. Rich, luscious purple!

Brave Sir Robin is a blue-tinted jelly base with blue holographic microglitter. This blue was a little on the thicker side but I didn't have any major issues with application. The swatches below show 2 coats, topped with 2 thin coats of Glisten & Glow's HK Girl topcoat to bring it all together. I love this beautiful, vibrant blue!

Bring Out your Red is a red-tinted jelly base with fine red holographic microglitter. Smooth, easy formula and application--the swatches below show 2 easy coats, topped with 1 thin coat of Glisten & Glow's HK Girl topcoat to bring it all together. This was my favorite of the six, both the formula and the color are just perfect!

  4. Naughty Zoot all the way. I can't wear the heavy glitter polishes even though I think they are beautiful.
