A selection of PAINT SHOP POLISH : Swatches and Review

Hi there, my darlings! It's still...raining...in NYC. Raining...and gloomy...and...just ugh. So bright and early this morning, as always as part of our featured event, I'd like to share with you my review of 3 gorgeous bright, neon holos from Paint Shop Polish!

Before we get to to swatches, let's talk about the application and formula. As with almost anything remotely neon, I fell back on using the trick of applying a matte topcoat, which in my case is Butter London Matte Finish topcoat as a BASECOAT--a trick I learned courtesy of this article from The Trendy Nail. These polishes are a bit on the thinner side and almost jelly-like in consistency which in this case helped the application. So I really had very little issues with the formula or application of these polishes to begin with but the matte basecoat helps level the base. The swatches below show 3 thin coats, unless specifically mentioned, of each polish, topped with Glisten & Glow's HK Girl topcoat.--these definitely needed all three coats for full opacity but the final effect is so gorgeous and squishy! Alrighty, with that out of the way, on to swatches!

Margarita Senorita is a neon crisp apple green with a linear holographic finish.

Maui Wowie is a beautiful bright purple with a linear holographic finish.

Papaya Party is a juicy neon orange with a linear holographic finish.

So there you have it, my darlings! A little taste of Paint Shop Polish's beauties which can be found HERE--each of these is priced at $12.00 for a full-size, 0.5 mL bottle. You can find Candi on FACEBOOK and INSTAGRAM--go give her a quick follow!

Which of these three neon holos is YOUR favorites? I'd love to hear from you in the comments section below!

Until next time,

  1. I can't pull off bright oranges and greens, so my favorite is Maui Wowie. I'm also partial to purple polishes... All three look great on you in the swatch photos!
