Alanna Renee It's a Surprise and Lenny : Swatches and Review

Hi, my darlings! Today I have another new brand (to me) to review for you, courtesy of the lovely Sisi of Color4nails--I'll be showing you two pretty polishes from Australian indie maker Alanna Renee's new Bundle of Joy collection. =)

Before we get started, I wanted to show you a picture of the packaging for Alanna Renee. Professional and/or fun packaging always impresses me, ESPECIALLY from indie makers since it seems to convey the thought and care the maker puts into her product. So, already we're off to a good start!

The first of the two I have for you is It's a surprise!-- a pale, pale pastel yellow creme with a subtle shimmer. The formula on this was really easy to work with and I used 2 coats for the swatches below, topped with 1 thin coat of G&G's HK Girl. Unfortunately though, the shimmer in the bottle didn't translate onto the nail.

The second of the two I was sent to review is Lenny--a fun white crelly with a mix of orange, red and blue medium hexes and large black circles. The formula on this was really impressive--no fishing for glitter at ALL! As you can see from the pictures below, even the large circles came right out, which is why I have such an abundance of them on my nails! =) I used 2 coats of Lenny over two coats of It's A Surprise!, topped with 1 thick coat of G&G's HK Girl. Cute, right?

So there you have it, my darlings! Check out these or any of a number of other gorgeous Alanna Renee polishes on Color4nails' website HERE--each of them can be purchased for the price of $7.99 for a full-size, 12 mL bottle.

Until next time,
