Hello my darlings! I'm very excited to be writing this review today for my very first Bondi Box! If you haven't heard of them yet, Bondi New York is a brand-new, 5-free nail polish brand which launched in March 2013. Bondi is based in New York so I'm automatically rooting for them but the best part about them is that they are dedicated to eradicating poverty--all net profits of Bondi New York go to non-profit, charitable institutions! How cool is that! I'm so proud to be able to review for a brand that has its heart firmly in the right place and do my small part in furthering their cause! And they make pretty fabulous polish, as you're about to see!
My Bondi Box came with 3 full-size polishes and a bonus extra! The polishes I received are Uptown Girl, Teal Magnolia and Horny Mistress and my bonus extra is a 7 piece jump start balancing kit for face and body from Suki!
The first polish I swatched is Uptown Girl--a medium lavender creme that goes on flawlessly. I used 3 coats for the swatches below, topped with one coat of G&G's HK Girl. This is such a soft, feminine shade that I feel flatters most complexions!
Next I have Teal Magnolia--a gorgeous rich shade of teal green that's so trendy right now! Again, the application left nothing to be desired and I used 3 coats for the swatches below, topped with one coat of G&G's HK Girl. I don't usually go for green but this one is a keeper!
Finally, I have my favorite of the three, Horny Mistress--a lush, dark red that went on perfectly smoothly. I used 3 coats for the swatches below, topped with one coat of G&G's HK Girl. Besides being a gorgeous red, doesn't the name make you want to giggle?
So there you have it! My very first Bondi Box and I have to say it's a real steal! Bondis usually retail for $12.50 for a full-size, 0.5 oz bottle but if you sign up for a subscription, you get 3 full-size, 0.5 oz bottles plus an extra deluxe-sized beauty gift for $19.99 a month with free shipping! They also include a code for 25% off all purchases! Plus, you can skip anytime, even with pre-paid memberships! Quite a good deal, wouldn't you say?
