Ah, Fall...when the viciously high temperatures of NYC start to take a dip and the weather has a bit of a bite of to it early in the morning and late at night, when the trees are resplendent with warm golds and reds and when commuting is not such a pain because you're neither freezing nor sweating to death! Oh how I love Fall!
And speaking of Fall, don't you just love the Fall colors? Rich, dark, vampy colors and warm shimmers? I know I do! And Barielle is coming out a gorgeous collection just perfect for Fall, which I have up for review--here's a look at the upcoming Sophisticated Lady Collection!
(All descriptions is italics and quotation marks are from Barielle's press release.)
First up, I have London High Tea--Barielle describes it as "a creamy bright pink". To my eye, this gorgeous pink is reminiscent of English roses, with a hint of a gold shimmer--quite the appropriate name then, right? The application on this was lovely--no streaking or patchiness. I used 3 smooth coats for the swatches below, with one coat of G&G's HK Girl to finish the look. Isn't this a lovely feminine shade?
With flash, to show the shimmer off!
The second polish in this collection is Dinner at 8, described as a "plum red rose" and it's a vibrant rose red shade that's both sophisticated and eternally sexy! Again, no issues with the application and I used 3 coats for the swatches below, with one coat of G&G's HK Girl to finish the look.
The third polish in this collection is In Good Taste, described as a "chocolate brown", which is also part of the Nude and Naught collection reviewed HERE. This unique shade is indeed a shade that calls to the mind the milkiest of chocolates! Application was a breeze and I used 3 coats, with one coat of G&G's HK Girl to finish the look. This polish also appears in the Nude and Naughty collection reviewed .
The fourth polish is this Fall-centric collection is Edgy, described as a "deep purple". This is a rich, eggplant-toned purple in some lights and an-almost-burgundy in others--this polish certainly lives up to its name! The application on this was smooth and even and I only needed 2 coats for the swatches below, with one coat of G&G's HK Girl to finish the look.
So what do you think of this collection? Which is your must-have Fall shade? Or do you need them all? Tell me in the comments section below--as always, I love to hear from you!!
Until next time,
<3
