Before we get started, let's take a quick look at the product description :

What it is:
A groundbreaking curling iron that senses the movement of your hand and rotates in the desired direction for uniform, shiny, long-lasting curls and waves.

What it is formulated to do:
Flawless curls, powered by science. T3’s revolutionary gyroscopic curling iron features patent-pending motion-sensing technology and an auto-rotating barrel to create beautiful curls and waves with a simple turn of your wrist. The Twirl 360 senses the movement of your hand and automatically rotates in the desired direction, forming polished, perfect curls every time. It features an ergonomic design for an effortless styling experience, creating long-lasting, beautiful, lustrous curls and loose waves quickly and easily.

What else you need to know:
Used in aviation, space exploration, and other hi-tech applications, gyroscopic digital technology detects motion and orientation to move and rotate objects with great precision and little effort. T3 has developed its own patent-pending gyroscopic technology to put a new spin on the traditional curling iron, making curling your hair intuitive and effortless. It responds to a subtle movement of your wrist, turning the barrel in the direction you want and transforming the curling iron into an extension of your hand for consistent, flawless curls.

- Cool tip: makes it easy to safely and quickly maneuver the curling iron
- Nine-foot 360° swivel cord: professional-length with swivel prevents cord tangling for hassle-free styling
- Two-year warranty: comprehensive coverage and support options

IMPRESSIONS : I had huge expectations for this curling iron, just based on the description and the price tag. And while I don't hate it at all, there is definitely disadvantages to it along with a bit of a learning curve. The iron has 5 heat settings and I had to jack it all the way up to the 4th setting before I began to see any curling effect--I have super long, quite thick tresses so I only managed to get a good curl at the ends. The GO button is kind of inconveniently placed, just under the lever that releases the hair clamp, and it's a challenge finding the darn thing, especially when you're working the strands on the top or towards the back of your head--this is a rather large device so you kind of have to feel around for that elusive GO button. Also DO NOT make the mistake that I did and use a good heat protectant serum before you curl--I got lazy and went to town on my hair without one. The Twirl 360 can get REALLY hot and let's just say my hair was NOT happy with me afterwards.

There ARE some pretty stellar advantages to the Twirl 360 though. Even with my super long hair, I noticed that, once I found that GO button, the automated rotating ability was amazing. I was super impressed with how easily and smoothly it wrapped my hair around the barrel, without getting tangled up or uncomfortable in any way. The clamp and lever works beautifully to secure and release sections of hair as you work. Best part? The tip really does stay cool! I didn't burn my fingers once, which is a feat for me!

The picture below shows my hair washed and air dried on the left and curled with the T3 on the right.

****Products were sent to me for an honest, unbiased review. All opinions are my own.****

  1. Sounds like my hair is the opposite of yours. I have baby-fine straight hair. I use a blow dryer daily followed by a curling brush to add some body and bounce for the day. I think my hair routine (mousse, dry, curl, brush, spray) is 5-10 minutes tops...

  2. Sounds like a really great curling iron! Thanks for sharing - we've been looking for a new one!!

  3. Oh my goodness - we are hair twins!!! It is actually scary. My hair is identical

  4. Oh wow it's a bit pricey for me! I'm a mom on a budget so my curling irons are just at the drug-store level. Would love to own one though!

  5. I am terrible with a regular curling iron, I just can't seem to manipulate it properly. Next time I'm looking to buy one I'll have to check this kind out.
