DAPHINE POLISH Mother's Day duo : Swatches and Review

Hi there, my darlings!! I am so excited about today's giveaway! This current set of giveaways is extra special because it gives me a opportunity to really present and showcase both the maker and her creations while introducing a (hopefully) new indie brand to you all! What better way to start off the FRIEND-AN-INDIE-FRIDAY giveaways then by showcasing the creations of an indie maker who may be new but has been a significant part of my own journey as a new blogger and who I've come to adore! I'm talking Joanne of Daphine Polish for quite some time now and she's participated in every one of my giveaways! The prize she's chosen to give away as part of the feature is her limited edition Mother's Day duo that she will be gifting to celebrity mothers at the MTV awards, as a part of the Artisan Group! So 3 of you will have a chance to win the exact same duo that will in the hands of several famous mothers and mothers-to-be! Yay!

Before we get started with swatches, let's take a look at the packaging! You all know how much I love unique or special packaging and Joanne went above and beyond to make sure this gift duo is presented beautifully!

So cute, right? Now wait til you see the polishes on!

First, I have for you...and Goodnight--a dark, dark navy/blurple shade packed full of gold shimmer and gray microflakies. Both the application and formula on this polish was lovely--I used 3 smooth coats by itself for the swatches below, topped with 1 generous coat of G&G's HK Girl to finish the look. I absolutely love the hidden shimmer in this polish that just pops out at certain angles!

With flash, to better show the true purple undertones as well as the gold shimmer and gray flakies!

The second half of this duo is Lullaby--a clear topcoat filled with various sizes and shapes of pastel glitters including baby blue hearts and pink butterflies, with tons of added shimmer! I had no issues with formula or application but I did have to fish a bit for the larger glitters like the heart--I found that leaving the bottle upside down for a few minutes really helped and I was able to get more of the glitters I wanted on each brushstroke. The swatches below show 2 thin coats of Lullaby over 2 coats of ...and Goodnight, topped with 2 generous coats of G&G's HK Girl to bring it all together!  Don't you just love the delicacy of the pastel glitters? I do!

And with 1 coat of Butter London Matte Finish Topcoat.

So there you have it, my darlings!! The limited edition Mother's Day duo from Daphine Polish!
