Hi there, my darlings! As a beauty blogger, I spend a LOT of my time testing out new stuff. Sometimes, even when you're testing products from a brand that you love, you can be left disappointed. Case in point, my recent foundation fail post. But, every once in awhile, you get the chance to test something that you not only like but that you instantaneously fall in love with and would ABSOLUTELY purchase over and over again. Today's post is all about that kinda love at first sight...or rather, at first swipe! I'm talking about the absolutely fabulous new Soft Matte Metallic Lip Creams from NYX Cosmetics!

Oof, I am so in love with these! There's just no ifs, ands or buts about it! While several of my fellow beauty lovers geek out over nudes and neutrals, I always long for bold, bright, stand out shades. And boy! Do these deliver!

I made the mistake of approaching these with a nail bloggers scepticism regarding metallics-- everyone knows metallics can notoriously be a pain in the butt to work with. But these metallics blew my misconceptions out of the water! Very happily so! Incredibly pigmented but just ONE swipe, I was so impressed with the intensity of these shades! All but Seoul, which was a tad patchy, was an absolute dream to work with and stayed PUT. In fact, I need several kinds of makeup remover to get these swatches off. As for a favorite shade, uhhhhh...don't make me pick! I truly love them alllll, even down to the pinks which I usually shy away from. Goes to show, a little metallic goes a long way to winning my heart!
