Perfect that Spring Pout with AVON!

Hi there, my darlings! Since my recent move, you may have noticed that I have been focusing on featuring more and more global brands. While I still love and cover A LOT of US brands,access to reliable internet and easier shipping means that many beauty brands are now available worldwide. As a global citizen and a blogger that loves all things beauty all over the world, I feel that it's only right that I expand my horizons. Especially since I'm not in the US myself at the moment. I have noticed too that beauty brands are really trying to appeal to a wider audience and as such, one brand that immediately comes to mind is Avon. Sure, they have been around all over the world just about forever and while growing up, we all had that one aunt or friend that was perennially trying to foist a bunch of lipsticks from the brand onto our mothers. No one ever paid them much mind. But I do believe things are changing as Avon has really stepped up their game recently. Case in point, the new True Color Nourishing Lipstick line.

While whole world seems to be sweltering, it's technically still Spring in North America. And pre-summer in India. Sigh. While the heat is depressing to say the least, Spring colors definitely are not! My second favorite season brings the prettiest shades and the four I tested are totally perfect for Spring!

These are not mattes! I repeat, they are NOT mattes! These lipsticks are very true to their name in that they are incredibly hydrating and hence easy to wear. If you're used to mattes, like me, you may find wear time a little less than you're used to--you will definitely need to re-apply after a big meal! I liked the pigmentation for cremes--they are not super pigmented but you can build them up to the vibrancy and depth you prefer.

Now , as many of you know, my go-tos are usually berry shades. So, Berry Sangria was an instant fave! But, I have been making a conscious effort to try shades a little out of my immediate comfort zone. Surprisingly, I'm very taken with Playful Rose and Cherry Blossom.
