My Picks from NYC NEW COLOR COLOR's new Get It All lipstick collection

Hi there, my darlings! If you recall from a couple of weeks ago, I shared with you all a few new lippies from NYC New York Color--if you need a refresher, you can find that post HERE. Although those shades were really gorgeous, they weren't specifically chosen by me. They were chosen by my lovely PR contact and while I DID fall in love with a couple of them, they weren't all colors I would make an immediate beeline for. I mean, a lot of people think it's easy for darker complexions to pull off most shades but let me tell you, it's really NOT! While in theory, bright, pigmented shades should look beautiful with my tan/olive skin, in truth, they sometimes look garish or worse yet, tacky. Over the years, I've figured out what works for me and what doesn't. So, I was inordinately pleased when my PR contact for New York Color gave me the option of choosing the Get It All shades I wanted to feature. You know I jumped on that really quick!

I've already gushed about just how much I love these lipsticks! Super pigmented in a rich, hydrating formula, these have the wearability of a cream but the color pay-off of a matte. As for the colors, now these four right here are my sort of colors--bold, bright but flattering to my warm olive/tan complexion. I truly believe I can wear ExtraordiBERRY ANY time of the year while TerrifiCORAL is perfect for Summer! MOCHAmazing is what I like to think of as a nude with a little bit extra--true nudes often make complexions such as mine look washed out or worse yet, sickly so we need a nude with an extra bit of warmth, a bit of color to look just right. Finally, IncREDible is a gorgeous, warm red. All flattering, all very much me! Here's a peek at swatches :
