De-stressing with LATHER's Lavender Retreat Duo

Hi there, my darlings! First of all, let me apologize for the radio silence. The last couple of weeks have been stressful, to say the least, in my search for suitable employment. Don't let anyone tell you that job searching isn't stressful or that not working means the easy life! Far from it. Between searching dozens of job sites and long applications and those first, nerve-wracking phone conversations, I've found it a challenge to find either the energy or motivation to share posts here. Top that off with the lack of sleep and it's not pretty. But, I'm positive things will start to look up soon and tonight, I'm destressing! Taking a little time for myself to indulge and pamper the senses with the Lavender Retreat duo from one of my favorite bath and body brands, LATHER.

A little about the duo:

Imagine yourself strolling through a field of purple lavender as you inhale this aromatic, Bulgarian lavender-infused body care duo.

STEP 1 : Exfoliate!

The skin-smoothing, foaming body scrub cleanses with its creamy lather, while natural exfoliants, including olive seed and walnut shell powders, slough away dead skin. Fig, olive and grape seed extracts are combined with aloe vera to leave skin feeling refreshed. It is especially effective on rough areas like elbows, knees, and feet. Paraben-free & sulfate-free.

I love exfoliation! There's no other way to put it. As a scientist, I know just how many dead skin cells we produce on a daily basis. As a beauty blogger, I appreciate that regular exfoliation not only gets rid of all those dead skin cells, making way to new healthy cells, but also removes dirt and impurities for healthier, cleaner skin overall. As a woman who believes in aromatherapy and a holistic approach to not only beauty but life, I believe that exfoliation cleanses more than just the skin--you scrub away the all the dead cells and negative energy and soothe the senses with a calming scent. This scrub does all that and more! A good scrub will not only help you look but also feel better.

I love that this one is foaming so it's not as hard to rinse away and you can really cover your whole body instead of focusing on just one part. I use this scrub liberally in the shower and my skin always feels so much softer, smoother and just healthier after each use.

As a girl who loves florals, I have to admit that lavender hasn't always been my first choice. Until recently, that is. In these stressful times, I've found lavender to be incredibly soothing, to the point that it even helps me sleep better. There's really nothing like stepping out of the shower after using this scrub! It just makes me feel so much more relaxed and content. A huge win for me at the moment!

STEP 2: MOISTURIZE!

Followed with the body crème, skin becomes touchably soft with the moisturizing benefits of shea butter, coconut oil and jojoba oil. Infused with the delicate and calming scent of Bulgarian lavender essential oil, this light, aromatic body whip offers a luxurious finish - improved skin in an instant! Paraben-free.

One of my TLC, pampering sessions like tonight always includes a good, rich body creme...twice. Once, to hydrate and lock in moisture right after a hot shower or long bath. Then, once more on my arms and hands right before bed. This luxurious yet fast-absorbing creme not only moisturizes my skin wonderfully but relaxes me. I've taken to keeping this tub by my bedside so that it's always within easy reach, even for a quick nap. This lightly scented, soothing creme is sure to make sleep come that much easier!

So there, you have it, my darlings! If you would like to pick up LATHER's Lavender Retreat duo for yourself or your loved one, you can find it on their website HERE for the price of $36 for the set.
