VIP and OPI Starlight (partial) collection : Swatches, Review and NAIL ART!

Hi there, my darlings! I'm a huge fan of OPI--they make some of the most beautiful polish and that too with amazing formulas. So when the lovely people over at offered me my first opportunity to review a set of upcoming OPI polishes as part of their VIP program, I didn't hesitate for a minute! A couple of days later, a pretty package arrived at my doorstep with an even prettier box inside!

Inside, 6 polishes from OPI's new Starlight collection for 2015 :

Cosmo with a Twist is an inky blurple creme so dark that it's almost black. Lovely formula and application--the swatches below show 2 easy coats with 1 thin coat of Glisten & Glow's HK Girl topcoat. Such a sexy, vampy shade!

By the Light of the Moon is a silver metallic polish with added small silver glitters. No major issues with the formula or application although the small glitters do add a bit of texture to the finish--the swatches below show 2 easy coats with 1 thin coat of Glisten & Glow's HK Girl topcoat. Such a sexy, vampy shade!by itself. I think this would be fabulous for the Holidays!

Here's a little bit of nail art I created with Cosmo with a Twist, stamped with By the Light of the Moon. Yup, you read that right! By the Light of the Moon does indeed stamp! If you would like to see a video of its stamping capabilities in person, you can find it on my Instagram HERE.

I'm in the Moon for Love is a magenta-purple creme with a hint of shimmer. Fantastic formula and application--the swatches below show 2 easy coats with 1 thin coat of Glisten & Glow's HK Girl topcoat. Love this shade for the Fall!

Press * for Silver is a beautiful rose-gold metallic polish. Surprisingly easy-to-work-with formula and application--metallics can be brushstroke-y and often a pain to work with but this one went on so smoothly. The swatches below show 2 generous coats by itself. Such a perfect, trendy polish for Fall!

Here's another nail art look I created using I'm in the Moon for Love as the base, leaf nail vinyls gifted by Nail Jewelry Bling, and Press * for Silver, all topped with Infrared-y to Glow. I love how this look turned out!

Center of the You-niverse is an inky black with tons of silver microglitter. No issues to report with either the formula or application--the swatches below show 2 easy coats with 1 thin coat of Glisten & Glow's HK Girl topcoat. A great black...with a bit of a twist!

Infrared-y to Glow is a clear glitter topper filled with funky gold, dark pink glitters and small, silver holo glitters. Despite these glitters being so non-traditional, I had no trouble really getting it out of the bottle--the swatches below show 2 easy coats dabbed over Center of the You-niverse, topped with 1 generous coat of Glisten & Glow's HK Girl topcoat. So interesting, right?!

The last nail art look I corset nails! I used both Center of the You-niverse and Press * for Silver plus a black striping polish and a dotting tool.
