ZOYA JUBILEE COLLECTION: Swatches and Review

Hi there, my darlings! So...have you finished your Holiday shopping? Yeah, me neither! But never fear, my fellow procrastinators, this week the blog will have a whole lot of ideas for last-minte gifts for any of the beauty lovers on your list. Kicking things off, today we're looking at the Zoya Nail Polish and Treatment Jubilee collection--a rather offbeat and exciting Holiday collection!

The Jubilee collection consists of 12 shades--7 creams, 2 of their trademark Pixie Dusts, a gorgeous shimmer, the perfect Holiday gold AND a really cool topper.  Phew! Quite the line up! Across the board, I found the formula of each and every single polish to be super easy to work with--I finished my swatches in 2 quick evenings! Unless specifically mentioned, all the swatches below show just 2 easy coats of each shade by itself on the index and ring fingers and with the addition of 1 thin coat of topcoat on the middle and pinkie fingers, for the sake of comparison. If any shades required an extra coat or, on the contrary, you could get away with just one coat, I've mentioned it below. Now, without further ado, on to swatches!

Leigh is described as "a full-coverage perfect winter nude - rich and warm cream with just a hint of pink to compliment any skintone". This shade was a little streaky with the first coat and, to be honest, I''m not a huge fan of pale nudes like this one but it evens out quite nicely with the second coat and if you like creams, you will certainly like this one!

Carson is described as "a full-coverage muted nude pink cream - a beautiful shade to create an understated elegance and perfect for the cold weather months". Now this is a nude I can get behind--the hint of warm pink makes this much more flattering for my skin tone!

Kateri is described as "a full-coverage beautiful midnight brown cream - think of it as the new black". I have honestly never liked a brown as much I as like this one--it's just so rich and inviting that I surprisingly fell in love! Oh and did I mention that this could totally be a one-coater?! YUP!

Allison is described as "a full-coverage plum-toned ruby cream - a more amped up version of a traditional plum shade". One of my faves f this collection, I ABSOLUTELY love this shade!

Maxine is described as "a full-coverage a rich red cream with an evenly balance undertone - bright, yet still appropriate for the season". I'm a sucker for a good red and this is such a happy, bright red!

Taryn is described as "a fiery fuchsia micro-irredescent shimmer with blue undertones - a shade that brightens even the gloomiest of winter days". Three thin coats for full-coverage. Oh the shimmer in this baby! To die for!

Chiara is described as "a full-coverage deep purple cream - a gorgeous compliment to the rich jewel tones of the season". Zoya makes the best purple creams--this one is so vibrant that it would chase the Winter blues clear away!

Danica is described as "a full-coverage rich deep teal cream - a new twist on a holiday green that gives you an edgy, yet elegant look". Despite my best intentions, this makes me want to love greens! Just look at the depth of this shade! That being said, remember to wear a basecoat--it is intensely pigmented!

Cookie is described as "a purple PixieDust with gold flecks- perfect for holiday fun! Use as an accent or on her own for a gorgeous textured matte look". Ah the Pixie Dusts made me fall for textured polishes and this one is no different. I especially love the gold flecks!

Juniper is described as "a sparkling teal textured PixieDust". Seriously, if you like greens, you NEED this beauty!

Astrid is described as "a liquid gold foil that adds a festive touch to any holiday look- wear as an accent or alone for optimum impact". 3 coats for full coverage, this is the perfect Holiday gold!

Leopard Spots is described as "the new special effect topper for Winter 2018 - layer over textured PixieDust shade for an edgy leopard spots effect". This one was SO fun! I never have the patience for nail art so I totally appreciated this quick topper that's pretty much nail art with just one swipe! This is 1 thin coat over Astrid!

So there you have it, my darlings! The Zoya Jubilee collection is available now on Zoya's website HERE for the price of $10 for a full-size, 0.5 oz bottle--go on and grab your favorites!

  3. I like Maxine the most. That would be great to wear over the holidays. I'm not a fan of the textured polishes but I know they are popular.
