Winter Lip Lovin' with PIXI BEAUTY!

Hi there, my darlings! Baby, it's cold outside! Yup, even all the way over here! Well, maybe not as cold as NYC could get but there's definitely a bit of a nip in the air. And you know what that means! It's time to change things up in our beauty routines. While I admittedly forgo just about everything during the summers, it's an entirely different ball game during the colder months. I make sure to pay special attention to my skin and both my Winter color palette and makeup choices reflect the drop in temperatures. So, today, I'm going to share a few new arrivals from Pixi Beauty that helps me keep my lips soft, sexy and winter-ready!

I'm a self-proclaimed lip balm fiend! Well, maybe not as much as my sister, who literally cannot live without lip balm but I have to admit that I do love lip balm a fair bit. Winters can be tough on the lips, especially when you have a habit of biting your lips while concentrating, like yours truly. Which is why, I always have my favorite lip balm of the moment within arm's reach.

Right now, I'm absolutely loving these lip balms from Pixi. They are incredibly hydrating with all that shea butter goodness, without being sticky or tacky. And I don't know about you, I like my balms to have a bit of a tint. Even when you're curled up under a heap of blankets at home, it doesn't mean you can't have a little prettiness in your life! And these are oh-so-pretty!

The ultimate in multi-tasking lip enhancement, this demi-matte lipstick conditions, plumps and protects lips while giving long lasting, intense colour. Added peptides, hyaluronic acid, and vitamins C & E help to create fuller, smoother looking lips.

I love a good matte lipstick, any time of the year! But these are not your usual mattes. When I say that, you may want to glance at the description once. Because I know I did. These are demi-mattes. In other words, you do get a fair bit of pigmentation if you layer it on but they still have quite a bit of a hydrating effect to them. Hence, the sheen you see in the photos. The cons to this finish is that it does transfer and wear off more than a regular matte. But the advantage lies in the formula--if you have dry lips, these are so much more comfortable during the colder months. You can give your lips a rich tint of color or build it up for a deeper hue--the choice is yours! Honestly, I still prefer my liquid mattes but I would definitely use these on those days when my lips are feeling a little under the weather.
