Fake It Til You Make It with OSMOSIS Lip Glosses with 3D Pigments!

Hi there, my darlings! If there was one thing that you could change, no, let's say enhance about your face, what would it be? Longer lashes? A different eye color? Fuller lips? If it was up to me, I would go with option C. I have teeny, tiny, bow-shaped lips which, although full enough, could definitely use a little help. At least, in my opinion! We're never satisfied, right?! While medical technology and impressive surgeries can now pretty much work miracles, some of us, like yours truly, prefer something a little less...drastic. I mean, with a little makeup, pretty much anything is possible anyways! Today's post focuses on a new product from Osmosis Colour Mineral Cosmetics that will help you create the illusion of those perfectly pouty lips!

Osmosis Colour Mineral Cosmetics Presents Gluten-Free Lip Gloss Collection
3D pigments help your lips appear fuller for a dewy, plumped pout
Available in 6 shades with an irresistible scent of grapefruit and strawberry, the Osmosis Colour Mineral Cosmetics Lip Gloss Collection ($19 each) allows you to go from natural to high shine with transparent and rich lacquered colors. Each gloss features a creamy, rich texture and 3D pigments to help your lips appear fuller and more plumped. The line’s jojoba and sunflower oils hydrate and nourish, encouraging the healing process and turning dry, chapped areas into baby smooth and soft.

Enhancing your natural barriers to lock moisture in, each formula will also promote firmness and elasticity. Each swipe of luminous color will even help remove free radicals and block environmental age-factors, all thanks to its antioxidant packed ingredients.

Available shades include:

  • Aura
  • Bare
  • Berry Frost
  • Cinnamon Kiss
  • Lilac
  • Pink Sapphire

For today's post, I chose 3 shades that I thought I would like: Berry Frost, Lilac and Pink Sapphire.

Firstly, let me just say that I'm a matte lippie kinda girl, usually finding glosses much too high-maintenance. That being said, the whole 3D pigments definitely piqued my interest so I knew I had to give them a whirl. For the sake of science and all, you know!

Right off the bat, there's a couple of things I really liked. First of all, they DO smell lovely! Think the pleasing but not overwhelming scent of your favorite lip balm. Secondly, I like the shimmer of those 3D pigments, very pronounced in Lilac (shown below) and subtly appealing in the other two.

Lastly. I really like the pigmentation of Berry Frost and Pink Sapphire and the sheer, delicate shimmer of Lilac. Surprisingly, both of the first shades look quite similar on my skin tone, with just a shade difference between the two. Still, totally something I would wear.

So, now on to the all-important question. Does it make your lips appear fuller? With all that shimmer, it sure does! The illusion of fuller lips is achieved by light reflecting off the surface of your lips and that shimmer just helps that process along. Am I a lipgloss convert? No, because although not overly so, these are still a bit too sticky as most glosses tend to be! I'll stick to my matte lippies but these are great to layer over some of my more drying matte formulas. Overall, definitely worth a try!

So there you have it, my darlings! You can check out all six shades and grab your faves on Osmosis' website HERE.

  1. I love these, but Lilac is the one that I wear the most! Lovely review!

  2. I'm actually a gloss fan since I can't wear liquid mattes, but I like my glosses to be completely opaque. Nevertheless, the 3D aspect really does intrigue me. I'm wondering if they're like the City Lips gloss with hyaluronic acid and other lip healing ingredients that I love. The two deeper shades are my kind of colors!

  3. I have a love/hate relationship with gloss. I love the look but I don't love any stickiness. Lilac is so pretty though that I think I could get over any reason to dislike it.

  4. Fuller lips and less wrinkles would be on my wish list, LOL! These are very pretty shades of gloss.

  5. Honestly it would have to be fuller lips. I don't have typical "African-American" lips lol.
