ZOYA Matte Velvets : Swatches and Review

Zoya-Matte-Velvet-collection

Hi there, my darlings! Happy Hump Day! Just two more days to the weekend and after the week I've had, it can't come soon enough! On this Wednesday afternoon, I have for you my swatches and review of the much-anticipated return of the Zoya Nail Polish and Treatment's Matte Velvet collection.

The Matte Velvet collection consists of 6 shimmery shades with a perfect matte finish. As with most of my Zoyas, across the board, I had no complaints at all with the formula or application--each was fully opaque at just ONE coat but I used 2 out of nothing more than habit. These polishes are meant to be worn with no basecoat OR topcoat and all the swatches below show 2 smooth coats by itself.. That being said, let's take a look at swatches!

Loredana is described as a "medium gunmetal grey, packed with silvery shimmer and a velvety MATTEVELVET finish". I know a LOT of people love gray for Fall but I never really associated the shade with the season...until this. Somehow, this just screams FALL to me and I love it!

Verushka is described as a "deep evergreen garnished with strong metallic shimmer in a velvety MATTEVELVET finish". If you're a lover of green, this shade will please you endlessly!

Savita is described as a "bold, vibrant medium purple with strong red and gold shimmer with a velvet MATTEVELVET finish". Oh I love, love, LOVE this one! This shade of purple, I feel, is so flattering for my complexion and just makes me feel like royalty! Plus, it doesn't hurt that the name is so Indian-sounding! =)

Posh is described as a "medium cool-toned wine red with metallic red shimmer and a velvety MATTEVELVET finish". As I mentioned in my press release post, Posh was the very first hard-to-find (at the time) polish I acquired and still remains one of my favorites in my collection! Red matte? Yes please!

Harlow is described as a "rich, saturatedrose plum packed with sparkling metallic shimmer in a velvety MATTEVELVET finish". Another hands-down favorite, I was pleasantly surprised by the sheer amount of shimmer packed into this beauty! Just look at it!

Dovima is described as a "smoky charcoal-black with strong silver shimmer and a velvety MATTEVELVET finish.". I feel a whole bunch of nail art coming featuring Dovima in my future!
