YOUNGBLOOD and PANTONE Colors of the Year for 2016

Hi there, my darlings! Did you guys hear that Pantone has picked the colors of the year of 2016? If you haven't, then let me fill you in--2016 is the year of Rose Quartz described as a "embracing rose tone" and Serenity described as a "cooler tranquil blue". With Valentine's Day just around the corner, am I the only one who thinks these are great shades for the day? Don't have any of these two shades on hand? Fear not because Youngblood has you covered with some beautiful products!


PRESSED MINERAL EYESHADOW QUADS in Vintage and Glamour-Eyes

I was really impressed with both these eyeshadow quads--the colors are very pigmented, even the lighter shades and apply just beautifully, with minimal fallout. I usually tend to go for bold, bright shades but I was surprised by how much I liked the lighter shades, especially the shimmery shades like Charming and Merlot.

CRUSHED MINERAL BLUSH in Tulip

This is a pale, pale, shimmery pink which I was again really surprised showed up on my darker skin at all! Since it's so beautifully shimmery and in pigment form, I would probably use this as a highlighter than a traditional blush.

LIPSTICK in Pink Lust and MIGHTY SHINE LIP GEL in Revealed

The lipstick is a super pretty pink shade with a hint of coral undertones on me, in a lovely creme formula, Pinks are tricky on my complexion but I love the coverage of this one with just a couple of swipes and how flattering it looks!

The lip gel will give just the barest hint of pink tint and gold shimmer. Fabulous for layering, this lip gloss wasn't too sticky--a little yes, but not anything intolerable.
