DAPHINE POLISH Punch collection for late Summer : Swatches and Review

Hi there, my darlings! This afternoon, let's talk about what Joanne of Daphine Polish has been up to! Many of you may have noticed that she didn't launch a summer collection but inspiration did strike, albeit a tad late. Hence, she came up with not a summer collection, because despite the temperatures, summer's pretty much done but a late summer collection. How appropriate, right?! Here's what she describes this collection as : "The Punch Collection (Late Summer) is a collection of not-quite-neon crellies with glitter and shimmer--fun brights for those who don't want summer to go away yet!"

Before we take a look at swatches, let's take a quick minute to talk about the application and formula of these polishes. Across the board, unless specifically mentioned, I found the formula and application to be pretty darn great--these three crellies had a pretty even distribution of glitter to base and generally required 3 thin coats for full opacity, although you can get away with 2 depending on how thickly you paint your coats. Since they're neons, I swatched them over a matte topcoat as my basecoat, applied 3 thin coats and topped with 1 generous coat of G&G's HK Girl to bring it all together. Neons without the hassle!

Cherry Limeade - No, it's not pink, but imagine limeade with real fresh cherries in the pitcher! A bright lime green polish with yellow shimmer and pink & fuchsia glitters (including dots!).

I didn't have to use more than 2 coats for this one and it dried a bit of the matte side, so 2 easy coats and a good topcoat and you're good to go! I love how the fuchsia pops against the super bright green!

Fruit Punch - A punchy pink polish with blue shimmer, holographic and an assortment of white glitters (baby stars!). Reminiscent of the fruity favorite of kids everywhere!

Baby stars!? Can we please talk about how awesome these baby stars are?! Not only are there tiny, awesome baby stars but this is a pink that actually works with my complexion! Win-win!

Grape Juice - Okay so you don't usually find this much color in grape juice, but this purple crelly is packed with copper, teal, and turquoise glitters for a unique color combination.

Of the three, this was my favorite! I love this shade of purple and the color combination of the glitters to the base is just flat-out gorgeous!

So there you have it, my darlings! Daphine Polish's Punch collection for late Summer will officially launch on at Daphine Polish's Etsy shop HERE tonight, September 18th at 8 pm EST.
