PAULA DORF Aztec City Eyeshadow palette and Lash Color in Teal : A Review

Hi there, my darlings! We're still dwelling on eyes today and with the spree of holiday parties that will be sure to kick off shortly, I'm always looking for great products to review and share with you all. Today, I'd like to show you a couple that I was very impressed with--Paula Dorf's Aztec City Eyeshadow palette and Lash Color in Teal.

The Aztec City Eyeshadow palette is described as :

From the desert sand to the crisp blue sky this Aztec City Palette has it all! With just the right balance of professional and flirty, this palette lets you decide between knockout nudes, classy colors or a mesmerizing mix of both. These five shades allow you to customize your look and transform your mindset to the bronzed beauty of the desert. The sleek mirrored case also contains a specially designed double-ended brush for the perfect application.

The eyeshadow palette contains 5 shades : a white, a shimmery blue, a pale pink, a nude beige and a dark chocolate brown.

And the Lash Color is described as :

This teal color, smudge-proof mascara conditions, thickens and lengthens to create beautiful flake-proof lashes. Water-resistant formula gentle enough to be worn with contact lenses.

A really deep teal, if you can tell from the picture :

As you can see from the picture below, it's a really subtle shade of teal--just the barest hint of color.

IMPRESSIONS : First of all let's discuss the palette! I really liked the texture of these shadows--I swatched them on a clean arm with no primer of any sort and they went on so smoothly. No flaking, no chalky mess. The colors were all pigmented without being hard to remove--my biggest pet peeve is scrubbing color off the sensitive skin around my eyes, no matter how gorgeous the shades. These came off easily with a makeup wipe! M favorites of the five are the shimmery blue and the dark chocolate--I do love bold shades!
As for the Lash Color, the Teal was very subtle--just the barest hint of color. So if you're just starting to experiment with colored mascaras, this may be a good place to start! It didn't do much for me as far as lengthening or voluminizing so I would wear this over my regular mascara.

So there you have it, my darlings! If you would like to add the Aztec City palette from Paula Dorf to your stash, you can find it on the brand website HERE for the price of $36.00. Use the code TEAL to receive the Lash Color in Teal FREE with your purchase of the Aztec City palette ($21 value).
