CANADIAN PRIDE WITH RMS BEAUTY!

Hi there, my darlings! Ever since I landed in Toronto just 3 months ago, I have made it  mission to embrace my new home! I already love Canada! The warmth of the people, the clean beauty of the city and the diversity warms my very heart. Since the blog is very much a part of who I am and what I'm feeling, I wanted to make sure I highlighted my experience in Canada, most definitely including the beauty scene. So, I started to reach out to Canadian-owned beauty brands in the hopes of collaborating. One of the very first to get back to me and that too, with warmth and welcome was RMS Beauty. Today, I'd like to share with you my very first experience with my very first Canadian collaboration!


First, I wanted to share the pretty packaging that this arrived in! It always impresses me when brands go the extra mile with packaging. So sweet!

"UN' COVER UP ($36.00 USD)

LIP2CHEEK ($36.00 USD)

Our lip2cheek is a unique formula that combines hydration and protection with abundant mineral color for a beautiful, natural finish on both lips and cheeks.

The lip2cheek colors are the result of over 20 years experience applying makeup to some of the world's most beautiful faces. Created with nourishing organic ingredients, each unique shade can vary from a youthful sheer to a more densely colored stain.

I am SO surprised at how well the UN-Cover shade (#44, show on the left below) that was chosen for me worked for me! I have such a hard time finding the right shade of concealers and foundations so this was an unexpected delight. Plus the formula is super smooth and very easily blended.

The Lip2Cheek in the shade Illusive is such a pretty shade, especially for the Summer months. Described as "a matte burnt rose hue with a hint of plum". Perfect for that sun-kissed flush!

WILD WITH DESIRE LIPSTICK ($28.00 USD)

A labor of love by Rose-Marie Swift, founder of rms beauty, debuts her highly anticipated curated collection of colors perfect for everyday wear.

This luxurious natural satin-finish lipstick is enriched with the signature rms beauty oil. Rich and powerful in anti-oxidants, this lipstick offers ultimate hydration and maximum color pay-off.

Available in 15 shades.

How gorgeous are all three of these shades?! Super pigmented and velvety smooth, I'm impressed with both the formula and the longetivity! They feel really comfortable on the lips, with the satin finish a much less drying option than a traditional matte, while still delivering the color payoff and long wear of a matte. Believe me when I say, I had to use a GOOD remover to get these babies off! They don't stain but they also do NOT budget!

Shown from top to bottom below in the shades Pretty Vacant, Russian Roulette and Sweet Nothing. While Russian Roulette is my obvious fave, I really like Sweet Nothing too!

WILD WITH DESIRE LIPSTICK ($20.00 USD)

VINTAGE CAKE LINER ($28.00 USD)

This cake liner delivers rich pigment for flawlessly defined eyes. Can also be used as a matte shadow.

Shade: dark black

These tiny, little eyeshadow singles sure pack a punch! Pigmentation was on point and I experienced minimal fallout. The best part is that subtle shimmer /reflectivity that pops through under the right light.

Both shades described above are really pretty but I definitely have a soft spot for Enchanted Moonlight EM-28--such a pretty purple!

BOTTOM: Twilight Madness TM-24

Last but definitely not the least, the most intriguing product! This little compact contains a DRY liner powder that is perfect for travel! When you're to apply It, you just dip a wet eyeliner brush in the pigment and do your thing. Seriously, how cool is that?!
