Hi there, my darlings...all the way from swelteringly humid, riotously wonderful India! I've promised you all, before I left, that there would be no dearth of posts and here I am, barely a day after I've landed, jet lag notwithstanding, to share a little device that I've been testing for the past few weeks, a little device that I've loved so much that it found its way into my already stuffed luggage--today, let's talk about the Luna by Foreo.

IMPRESSIONS : Every once in awhile a product comes along and I can't find a single con to share with you all--this happens to be one of them! This product is a win for me in so many ways!
First, let's talk about the design. I love that it's light and portable--it fits in even the smallest of nooks in your luggage and thus makes the perfect travel companion. It's flat-bottomed with the capacity to stand on its own, making it perfect for your bathroom countertop. But it also means that when you're travelling, you don't have to carry a bulky stand or case--it comes with a little travel-ready pouch. Drop it in and you're ready to go!
The other thing I love about it is how really, really, REALLY long the charge lasts. I don't know about you but I always forget to charge my electronic devices until just before I really need it. With the Luna, you don't have to worry about that--one full charge lasts 450 uses! Which means that I was able to bring it with me and won't have to worry about a charger for the entire 8 weeks that I'm out of the country! Score!
Now, about the device itself. I was able to choose the version that I felt would work best for my skin--the blue Luna for combination skin. As I've mentioned in the past, my skin tends to break out but can also get little random dry patches. I was able to use the Luna on my skin for several weeks with no adverse effects. On the contrary, my skin looked and felt cleaner, smoother and more radiant after every use. I must admit, I was a bit skeptical at first about the silicone bristles but they feel pretty great--like mini massagers!
I don't worry much about the effects of aging on my skin (thanks mom, for the good genes) but because the anti-aging surface on the opposite side feels so good when used with a regular moisturizer, I found myself using it quite often. The anti-aging benefit was a definite plus!
Lastly, the price. Yes, it's pretty much what you would pay for a Clarisonic and you can get cheaper cleansing brush systems on the market but keep in mind, that you would be changing those brush heads for an additional price. Since the Luna does NOT require such a change, you're saving money in the long run. A smart investment for sure!
Overall, a great product and one I would highly recommend!
