NEW YEAR, NEW BOXYCHARM: JANUARY 2019

Hi there, my darlings! My goodness! Wait til you get a peek at this month's BoxyCharm! When it comes to starting the New Year off with a bang...and yes, a SLAY, they really went all out! I'm just going to cut to the chase and get right to it--this is a pretty epic box so if you haven't picked it up yet, whether you're in the US or Canada, I think you may want to get on that right away! Take a peek!

TATCHA Luminous Dewy Skin Mask ($24.00 USD; 2 pack)

A silky soft, skin-fitting sheet mask that deeply delivers a healthy drink of ultra-hydrating botanical oils and extracts for a dewy glow in just one use.

  • Imparts an instant glow: a blend of lightweight rice germ oil, derived from the most nutrient-rich portion of rice packed with Vitamin E and essential fatty acids, and a high concentration of botanical oils and extracts, nourishes skin from within, leaving it velvety smooth, dewy and luminous.
  • Drenches skin with hydration: delicate ultra-fine microfiber sheet, 100 times thinner than a strand of hair, delivers 20 ml of serum into skin for maximum absorption and benefits.
  • Feeds skin with Japanese anti-aging superfoods: a fermentation of green tea, rice and algae—ingredients at the heart of the Japanese diet and time-tested skincare rituals—restores skin health and youthful radiance.

I swear, I really think my Boxycharm is a little bit psychic! I was just thinking how I had left all my sheet masks in India when I moved to Toronto and really needed to pick up a few more. The stress of the last few months, couple with the all-too-new bitterness of Toronto's winter, means that my skin is suffering terribly and could use a little pick-me-up. I'm definitely using one of these this weekend!

BRIGEO Roscaro Milk Leave In Conditioner ($20.00 USD for 5 oz; travel size included in box)

Which hair type is it good for?
    • ✔ Straight
    • ✔ Wavy
    • ✔ Curly
    • ✔ Coiled
    • ✔ Tightly Coiled
    What it is:
An ultra-light, leave-in conditioning spray that brings hydration and moisture to locks without weighing them down.

    Key benefits:
    - Adds softness and shine
    - Diminishes frizz
    - Shields from heat and UV rays

If you want to know more…
This multiaction Rosarco Milk™ Reparative Leave-In Conditioning Spray hydrates, reduces flyaways, enhances manageability, strengthens, protects against heat and UV rays, and nourishes tresses. Fortified with a unique blend of rosehip, argan, and coconut oils, this milky and 96 percent naturally-derived complex effectively restores moisture levels and softness. Perfect for wet or dry hair, its non-greasy formula is designed to seal the cuticle, restore luster, add shine, and leave no product buildup. Hair is left feeling increasingly soft, sleek, strong, and beautiful.

I'm always happy when these little Brigeo sprays show up in my life. I'm notoriously bad at conditioning my hair, since it tends to get greasy so fast, with regular, in-shower conditioners. So, these little sprays, which I can apply directly to my tips, are a lifesaver!

BITE BEAUTY Amuse Bouche Lipstick in Gingerbread ($26.00 USD)

Inspired by amuse-bouche—small, perfectly crafted bites that showcase a chef’s artistry when it comes to flavor, texture and presentation—this lipstick serves bold, creamy color and an unforgettable sensorial experience in a single swipe.

I was so excited when I saw this in my box, SO EXCITED! I have tried a couple of Amuse Bouche samples in the past and loved them. Give me lipstick any day and I'm thrilled. But...the shade is really not one I would normally reach for. That being said, with such a luxurious feel and texture, maybe it's tie I stepped out of my comfort zone, right?

STARLOOKS Ultra-Gem Longwear Eye Pencil in Aurora ($19.00 USD)

Luxurious pigmentation that lasts all day and provides the most glam looks you can possibly accomplish!

At first, I was disappointed that this wasn't a black because, let's be real, that's what I wear the most and I need a new black liner for my waterline! But, when I swatched this, I had to admit it's a super pretty shade and I intend to give it a whirl...along WITH my black eyeliner!

Here are the shades above, swatched!

TARTE Rainforest of the Sea, Volume III ($36.00 USD)

WHAT IT IS: Vegan, crease-free eyeshadow palette with the best-selling creamy powder formula in 8 lid-lifting, highlighting shades – no primer needed.

          • Escape (nude pink luster)
          • Tiki (matte beige)
          • Heat wave (pink luster)
          • Malibu (plum bronze)
          • Rays (peachy copper)
          • Compass (champagne)
          • Jewel (copper)
          • Treasure (pearlescent)
          WHAT IT DOES:
          • Longwearing neutral shades include a matte nude transition to pair with microshimmers to make eyes appear brighter & more awake
          • Oxygenated light-reflecting spheres highlight lids for your smoothest, most even application
          • Plush texture is part cream, part powder—all you need is the warmth of your fingers to apply
          • Antioxidant-charged marine plant extracts help hydrate & protect lidS.

A Tarte palette?? Oh Boxycharm, you spoil me! This, right here, made the box worth it all by itself. Now, for a girl who doesn't really like neutrals, I absolutely love this palette! Why? One word: shimmers! And a fabulous range of neutrals at that. I can see myself using this not only for the conventional eyeshadow looks but a couple of these I want to try as highlighters. I mean, just look at these!

          1. I just finished a review on this Boxycharm and another (with a giveaway) that will be published in a week. I think the Tarte is so pretty but I have it already and it's in a steady rotation. My eye pencil was a brow one and my lip was a red Ofra one but otherwise the same box. I think Boxycharm is wonderful.

          2. I would loooooooove the Bite Beauty Gingerbread lippie - it's definitely my shade! The Aurora liner would be great as would the Rainforest of the Sea palette. Some day I may take the plunge
