THE HOLO HOOKUP collaboration box for January 2017 : Swatches and Review

Hi there, my darlings! Have I mentioned just how much I'm looking forward to the end of 2016 and the beginning of 2017? This past year was...challenging to say the least but I'm looking forward to new beginning, as I'm sure many of you out there are! So, the first The Holo Hookup box for 2017 and its theme are both particularly apt! The theme for January 2017's all-holo The Holo Hookup collaboration box featuring Jill of Glisten & Glow, Missi of Different Dimension, Sara of Cupcake Polish and special guest, Colores de Carol is "New Year, New You". Here's a little peek at their inspiration pic!

Happiness from Cupcake Polish is a "light green linear Holo with pink shimmers". Easy formula and application--the swatches below show 2 coats topped with 1 thin coat of Glisten & Glow's HK Girl topcoat. I'm not usually a fan of green but I love the shimmers in this baby!

Simplify from Different Dimension is a "light lavender linear holo with added blue shimmers". Lovely formula and application--perfectly opaque in 2 coats, I added an third for extra oomph. The swatches below show just 3 thin coats topped with 1 thin coat of Glisten & Glow's HK Girl topcoat to bring it all together. I love the interplay of blue and lavender in this polish! So gorgeous!

Love from Glisten & Glow is a "light pink linear holographic polish with added light rose and light pink microflakies". Fantastic application and formula--the swatches below show 2 easy coats topped with 1 thin coat of Glisten & Glow's HK Girl topcoat. This pretty, delicate pink is so perfectly named!

The Extra Mile from Colores de Carol is a "medium blue linear holo with gold and blue shimmer and gold flakes". Perfect formula and application--the swatches below show just 2 easy coats, topped with 1 thin coat of Glisten & Glow's HK Girl topcoat. The gold flakes in this blue really make it special!
